You may have misread, or there's a typo at FPA, moneybookers as "moneybrokers" as referred to in your post. Moneybookers have renamed themselves to "Skrill". You can still access them through http://www.moneybookers.com or at http://www.skrill.com.

Btw, I use http://www.100forexbrokers.com/fx/broker_search.php for additional info when I'm researching brokers.

Canadian broker Questrade now offers Empty4. I don't have any info or details on the "rule set" but there is a demo available. If you sign up, use this promo code pa1ink35, you get some free trades (50 bucks) but I'm not sure that applies to Empty4, it might only be stocks.

They are regulated by IIROC and your account would be protected by CIPF, and that's killer protection!!

very curious. maybe it was the commission they charge per roundturn (if you chose ecn premier acc. type)? Or do they charge some small amount depending on the funding method (as I remember - yes)?

Currently fxprimus is one of the better brokers I think (and I personally never encountered that problems with them).

Did anybody else had that problems also?

Mop just pointed me to this in the CJ's thread. It is fascinating to listen to and of especial interest to US traders.

The main thrusts of the webinar are these:

• brokers are market makers.
• they make their living from traders taking losing trades.
• they do indeed get up to all the tricks described by CJ in his thread.

But, thanks to traders access to a lot of good educational material, the percentage of winning traders is now between 35 and 40% of traders. Here is what the real cowboys do about this:

• a losing trader receives the best quality execution when opening, adjusting and closing trades.
• a winning trader will have his/her account moved to a server that is absolute rubbish. Trade action execution is slow; server interrupts are frequent; slippage becomes a mahoosive problem. Trading becomes nigh on impossible

The cowboys are starting to have serious problems. Their bottom line is being hit because more traders are trading well. Legal action against them in the last couple of years has resulted in huge fines.

Worse even than the fine is that a brokerage once found guilty of something so bad that even the criminal fraternity turn on it, finds itself so closely supervised that it can barely breath without their government knowing about it.

Some brokers are coming to the realisation that it is better to work with their successful 'valued clients' rather than against them. Instead of interfering with the successful ones, they are hedging the trades. For example: if a successful trader buys EU, the broker goes into the banking market and buys 5 times as many lots. Broker does not mind the trader winning because the broker is winning that much x 5.

For those of you in the US, FXDD gets a huge endorsement for this in the webinar. FXDD have also got around the FIFO rules by treating multiple trades on the same pair as a single position - an accounting trick. The trader can close the trades in any order because FXDD back office do not see individual ticket numbers. Neat.

I have a FXDD account and am about to close it. They consistently have spreads 2x the size as my Forex.com account.
