Getting to Know Empty4 Inside Out

Can anyone tell me what I should do with a .rar file. Which folder should it go into and what do I need to do to use it?

Any help would be appreciated.

It is a file containing compacted files as in zip files, but using some blasted commercial compacting software that users are supposed to pay for. It infuriates me when people use them.

Anyone here know of a free utility that extracts files from the damn things?

Thanks guys, glad you all like it. It hasn't let me down yet. Funny you should mention 7zip Gary. That was my main zip utility until I found PeaZip! I haven't looked back since. I haven't even tried any other zip utility in several years since finding PeaZip. No need really. Well worth the price!

My VPS gets at its limits with Memory and CPU usage. Trying to modify CPU usage for applications, I have to know, whether Empty4 is multithread or not, i.e. can use more than one CPU or not? But honestly said, I have no idea and would be thankful for any information. Mike

It think so May be you can limit Max BAR to allow smoother calculation

I don't know what do you call 'intensive CPU Empty4', but I can run on a good 8 cores, 6 Empty4 with a lot of indi, 3 windev/API consoles, a lot of IE sessions, FT2 Forward testing... while listening music or watching film
