Hello Steve,

First of all, let me say thank you for "stevehopwoodforex.com" and all the concept behind it, this site is a lifechanger, no crap and unwanted pink bubbles... Threads from you guys are liquid gold and hard diamond. I`m a newbie with my 1 year experience on the Forex ice skating, but I`ve been changed a lot in positive direction since I`m a member of SHF.com.
I use 10.4 and 10.5 scalp, rail road tracks as well.


Here`s my short experience with RRT on a win7-64bit trading PC:

The first version I put it on an offshore ECN broker (I live in L.A. and it very sucks when it comes to currency trading, you can`t imagine how hard do they try to keep you away from this kind of trading / money making) demo acc and left the "IsGlobalPrimeorECNCriminal" off, it made over +400 within 3 days (when the big EURJPY jump happened last week, I loved this one, it had no visible TP or SL - few lost trades, so many winnings - it was a real broker/ball buster!!

- When it came to the next versions, 1g and 1h - EA started to trade lot less and after a while it stopped. I re-loaded, re-installed, cleared history, re-downloaded history, changed IGPoEC on and off - nothing.

- Yesterday (4/11/2013) I took V1h and put it on another offshore ECN broker with a clean, fresh install - demo $5000, 4 pairs (EURJPY, USDJPY, NZDJPY and AUDUSD) - finally EA started to trade. The results are a few pips loss on each trade, no winnings so far. No changes I made besides of "IGPoEC" is on.

One thing I would say / ask: is there a chance to use hidden SL and/or TP or use that script again as it was in the very first version V1? I really do believe in Virtual Dealer Plug-in, even if I only use ECN brokers, my experience is better to have hidden SL and hidden TP to avoid unwanted "suspicious" actings around the trade..

This EA is already / could be a powerful monster, pls, let me know if I can help with any testing or reporting.

Quite possibly your finest creation to date... Thank you.

Allow me to offer one "critical" update suggestion. I just noticed a pinbar trade that was taken intrabar... only for it to turn back and become, well.... not a pinbar. I understand the theory behind the RRT, getting in early, etc., but I highly recommend that a pinbar only be considered a pinbar once it is closed. As it stands now, if a bar (any bar) meets pinbar criteria at any time "during" the bar (am I making any sense at all?), the trade is triggered. I have just seen a few instances now where, yes, it was a pinbar momentarily, but then, simply not just moments later.

Long story short... Is there any way to make the EA such that it looks at the last CLOSED BAR to determine if in fact is a pinbar, as opposed to looking to jump in the moment the criteria is met on the current bar?

Actually, I just realised that the conversion of void LookForPinbar() into string LookForPinbar(int TimeFrame, int shift) will not quite work for the D1 pin bar recognition. So, some more converting of functions for using the D1 pin bar filter is needed.

Ok, NY has finally gone home. Have a happy weekend, my US cousins.

Results on the M15 for the week:

• trades = 50
• losers = 22
• pips gain c. 190

The ea took massively at the start of the week then gave a lot back at the end.

On reviewing the code, I think it works after all. The globally-used variables are reset when RRTnP looks for the trading time frame pinbar.

Actually, it is already possible to use the ea as an indi that will fire an alert and then manage the trade when you have sent it manually. When you have worked out how, you will have learned how to benefit from much that happens in this forum. Not everything, because there are far better coders here than me. Not many, mind, so don't push your luck.
