Actually, the latest version of Empty4 includes one click trading as default (click the top left arrow in your screen to bring it down).

Which is dandy if all you want to do is buy/sell at market. For anything else you have to use their standard order-entry dialog, which is among the worst-designed user interfaces I have ever suffered through. Total POS.

Is this Liveupdate.exe part of the default install?

I've got two Empty4 installs (one being from Global Prime / Jemook) and neither of these have anything like a Liveupdate.exe file.

I used that Voidtools/Everything (nifty tool BTW) and nix - no metion of liveupdate folders/executeable's anywhere...

Comments / thoughts / suggestions?

Tradestation is totally FREE for forex. They don't support MQ4, and they don't support 0.01 lots, but other than that they're pretty darn good.

Yes Gary (free that's cooler) but what brokers have TS as FX trading platform (either native or trough an API) I've heard of TS themselves as a broker + IB Interactive Brokers (but not just fxTS @ IB? Or someone prove me wrong)...

Also what platforms does Trade Station have BRIDGES or available Trade Copiers (even by 3rd parties) with? As without some or all the aforementioned transition tools Empty4 (which - most are oblivious to - was made from the ground up to screw you!) will forever entrap wannabe traders.

Starting at build 482 and above, the LiveUpdate has been redesigned. Read #9. So once your broker demands you update to any build 482 or higher, your screwed! Updates will be automatic....

Tradestation does their own clearing. I assume they have connections with Liquidity Providers. I've done studies of TS vs IB fills and TS was a bit better than IB.

There are 3rd-party tools that let you use TS for execution but place the orders e.g. at IB. TradeBullet is one of those I think -- if I remember right, TradeBullet routes your order through NinjaTrader which places the order at IB? I don't know if there are any bridges to place orders at Empty4 brokers, but I can't see why you'd want to. You're a lot better off placing your trades at TS than at some Empty4 criminal.

But other than hacks like that, TS is a closed platform. They provide the data, they provide the charting, they do the execution and clearing for forex, stocks, futures, options, etc. They're not a 2-bit bucketshop like most of the Empty4 brokers. They're more on the level of IB.

You're right, I forgot they restricted themselves to US-only clients for some reason.

So I guess the rest of you can get a tiny taste of what us poor USians suffer at every non-US broker...
