Andy, most (if not all) newer Empty4 installs have no update.exe to delete as MTQuotes criminals have implemented web update so you can't avoid updates till your crim-broker cuts you out...
Now you can refuse to accept updates just a few times before your Empty4 refuses to fire at which point you prob will be forced to install Empty4 all over again ..................................

Yes, we lose the buttons, so don't update.

Today I had another reason for either manual or scripted buy/sell override:
I saw the pending order for buy EURCAD and then checked currency slope strength on D1 and a version that I have tweaked for H1, both were showing CAD stronger than Euro at the time of entry, the order was triggered and went to the stop loss and after that CAD lost it's strength, and at the time of writing this: CAD on H1 is reading -0.38 and the Euro is at -0.10, so a bigger stop loss or delayed entry would have worked well.
I think the Fox likes to tease us by spiking our pending orders and the reversing direction
but perhaps we can use CSS on H1 to catch him at his tricks
Hello Brian,
I've added the MA must be higher than shift 1 for a long or lower than shift 1 for a short, I've been testing
since my return and things are looking good, I know the week before was a disaster but
we don't get the news events like we did that week.
Let's see how next week goes.
Best Regards
Andy
Ops where are all the download links checked page 2 but they seem to be missing

Members started getting confused with all the links, I'm going to upload v2.01a as soon as we know
what Metaquotes are going to do with the latest update.

Hi Andy,
can you please let us use v2.01a now. If it is already finished we can test this week.
For those who want to get back to Empty4 older version this is how to do it.
If you need to rollback to Build 416, here's a way to do it: http://mnikolic.com/Empty4-4-build- ... t-482.html
I hope you can upload today.
Best Regards,
Roman

Hi,
No point, if we have a problem with Empty4, the EA will need modifying.
I'd like to have the latest version too - sooner rather than later. I setup new demos as i'm changing brokers for my tests so i'm waiting on the latest for this. I don't even use the on screen button stuff i turn off display to save all the CPU i can. I haven't seen any Metaquotes updates personally. Do you expect something now that the week has started?
I've been looking at the money management and exit triggers.
Could you explain which value is used to calculate the lot size?
The crossing of the MA is not a hard value, it changes with each new bar. I presume that the EA initially calculates the maximum loss according to the entry price and the current MA crossing price. The difference would be the maximum amount you can lose and with that value the lot size can be calculated.
Is the correct?
The problem with this approach is, that when you get a (slow) decline in price the MA will decline as well and therefor the maximum risk will get bigger then the user is willing it to be.
I think that for trades that enter relatively close to the MA, the crossing of the MA is a good exit. For trades that are entered further away from the EA an extra exit is required. This could be a multiple ADR/ATR value from the entry point, a weekly support/resistance level or a percentage.
what about this problem in log of the strategy in Empty4 terminal? "2013.04.15 14:07:09 Multi_10_4_EAv2.00 EURUSD,H4: object name passed to ObjectSetText function cannot be an uninitialized or empty string"
