We are doing our best here, I have never seen 600 pip movements in one day, how can we cater for movments like that?
Only on Friday I was asked about losing your shirt, which sounded like a good idea, so I added it straight away, we are working to stop the draw down.
No way can you drop an EA on a chart and sit back.
I've added the ability to trade long on a specific currency or short, traders need to scan the charts and decide, is this dodgy trading long.
I can only do my best to try to help other members, if the EA took a hit, we need to brush ourselves down and look why.

Hi Andy, I don't blame the EA at all for the DD. If it entered according to 10.4 rules and the entries turned to mud, then its 10.4 that's to blame - the EA was just following orders. As Bob said in his thread today, "One thing that amazes me about Forex. When you win you grind it out but when you lose it can go so quickly."
The question is whether 10.4 manual traders also took a hit, for if they didn't then you'd have to ask what was different about their trading and the EA's. It seems however that their experiences were similar - here's Bob again: "I was 10 wins 31 losses ( I cleared out all non jpy trades) account is down 23% means I gave back about 1/3 of my profits. Ok the carnage is over. I lived to trade another day."
All we can ask of an EA is that it trade according to the rules its based on, and in that regard this EA is looking very good indeed. Andy, any word on when 2.1 might arrive?
Edit: It seems Bob reduced his losses by entering smaller lot sizes due to the length of time/distance the Yen pairs had travelled. This is a subjective thing to do whereas an EA needs hard and fast rules ... perhaps the lot size could be calculated off a second slower MA, such as a 300 SMMA if it produces a smaller size than the default 240 LWMA - something like that could be in keeping with what Bob's doing? The stop itself would still be set using the LWMA. Illustration on chart below...

Could I ask how your e/u buy stops looks like ? I'm using Cowboy IBFX and my 10.4 EA has placed only one buy stop at WMR. IMO it should place trade at WP for sure and maybe even at WMS. Any thoughts about this ? I have got the same with 1.09 and 2 as well.

So looks like I have got some problems with ea...
BTW I have also noticed that it doesnt start to trade itself on monday market open (friday closed all trades). Is it normall that I have to restart Empty4/bot to make it trade (probably not) ?
I will move my demos to Global Prime and start from a scratch.

The EA needs resetting after the weekend, fixed in 2.01.

Are 1.09 and 2.01 trading the same way or there were some changes in trading logic ? I'm trying to run both but if they are trading the same way it is a waste of time. Anyway I have setup both rsi and stoch demos to compare.

Best wait for 2.01, it's got quite a few fixes and other features added, this EA has almost pulled back all it's losses from yesterday.sponn wrote:One more Andy

The trading strategy is 10.4, I'm not going to change anything to do with entries, I'm looking at the
stop loss side of things.

I am running version 2.0 on my LIVE account and it is trading like a mini ATM machine for me. ( I have to be honest, I hate the flickering chart buttons. Would be nice to have the option to turn them off. I never use them.)
I use set TP (20 - 25 pips) and no SL at all. (Set to 1000 pip) The balance and equity is growing again daily between 0.3% and 1.1%.
I had to go to this method because the occasional large losses, when the EA hit the SL before, wiped out all previous profits. Now no more worries about losers. The EA is chugging along like clockwork and DD is no larger than 2% so far.
Andy thank you for this. This baby already made me a couple of hundred dollars on my LIVE account this month. Even with very, very conservative Lot sizes.
