Re: 10.4 A Complete System
Actually the SNB no longer have the ability to support the 1.20 floor...bear in mind that SNB spent 250 bn since the implementation of the floor in sep 2011, roughly 45% of GDP...the market will then inevitably challenge the floor and broke it...so you bet the swissy will strengthennanningbob wrote: Now I see SNB is changing philosophy concerning its relationship with the EURO. That is huge news and another Macro-economic change. If they do this then there is a currency that is willing to appreciate and I now know where to go trade. That one news story is buried amongst a lot of commentary trash but when you have done this you get to see these stories and their importance on Forex. The rest is short term micro economics and doesnt mean anything. Look for CHF to appreciate.

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
I loved 10.4 and made good use of it. After my crash trying to hold to many JPY-trades over the weekend and then the drop I took a better look at 10.5 and man am I pleased.
Instead of trying to leap 50-100 pips between the weekly lines, I now enter 2-3 positions on the daily lines and TP way before the PA has reached the next weekly line.
Since Tuesday I'm 30-1 and booked 917 pips.
When I see a set-up at the H4, I switch to the H1 and use the daily lines.
Looking forward to the next booklet from Bob, writing about 10.5!

You got 10.5 now probably better than I do. Its the CSS stuff with RSI 2 I am working on. Baluda gave me his newest update so now gotta get it all together.Gertje wrote:I loved 10.4 and made good use of it. Re: 10.4 A Complete System
I am currently in:
Buy - GU (+30) , Buy EU (-8) , Sell AU (+18), Sell NCHF (0).
Closed last week my trades posted here with +150 Pips (EU and CAD CHF) , and 2 x BE (UJ and GU).
Still checking with posts by the other - however sometimes the pivot line are very different - i am still using the original template from post 1 - hope this is the current version still to use?!

Funny to see how RSI2 is tricked when there is a series of bars with pins in the both sides. It´is like if it couldnt read the direction. Rude (but easy) way of understanding how divergence works. You can see it right now in NZDUSD.

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
Thanks Bob for your amazing system, and even more so for the input on fundamentals for JPY.
It has helps me keep cool when my account shows negative on open positions.
I as many others opened many positions relative to what I usually do (I usually trade only 1 micro lot in all, to learn and have consistent profits), I started going long on AUD/JPY and NZD/JPY when it began its decline on monday. I kept adding positions as it fell.
I only trade 1 micro lot per open position because I want to be consistantly profitable before I move on to bigger lot sizes and I also try to follow Steves rule - one microlot per 200$ in my account.
I also want to have more margin in my account before I move on to bigger lot size (respecting Steves rule). So all in all thanks a lot Bob for everything and thanks Steve for a good simple MM rule.

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
Bob - I have searched high, low and sideways for any hint that the SNB may be easing their ceiling on EURCHF at 1.20.nanningbob wrote:Now I see SNB is changing philosophy concerning its relationship with the EURO. Even the most recent news releases indicate that they will "strenuously" defend the level.
Could you please point to a source for me? This is too important to slip by, and we may be misinterpreting the intention.
Nothing here: http://www.snb.ch/en/ifor/media/id/media_speeches
The consequences of being long CHF at the "wrong" time can be devastating.

All you Sonicers know the story on this. I could be wrong, have been before. But Island Reversals on all the YEN pairs at the open next week could make a lot of super-rich and their banks vastly richer!
Google 'Island Reversals' if you haven't come across it before.
I used to trade the Sonic R system and still follow the thread. It's a monster thread and I only concentrate on Traderathome (Tah). His posts are invaluable and tho he always says "I may be wrong" he seldom is.

That's not an island reversal in the first place...please look at the attached BBG weekly chart...I hardly see any gap or an island for that matter...
