Im stuck in breakeven, like forever.
Always the same : got 1000 pip positive equity, retrace to say 400 pips, bank em. And overnight, loose 300 pips on VirtualSL in two hours with newly opened trades.
Gets me crazy at the moment.

Maybe i should put a MPTM with close at equity target like 20%...

To avoid this, you should close trade but let at least 0.01 lot to "hold" trend position

Little up and down today... Windev/Empty4 Marylin seems to retrieve a good way after this impressive fall of Gold.

Still +37% Equity/Initial Balance since beginning 20/03/2013 with now €/$ and USDCHF protected by SL

My comparison test is going smoothly. I created 2 demo accounts on 16 April and have been watching trades closely.

Here are the results so far:
Demo 1 (with Saturday candle): -427 pips closed with 3 AUD/USD sells & 3 AUD/JPY sells open
Demo 2 (without Saturday/Sunday candle): 0 pip closed with 3 AUD/USD sells & 3 AUD/JPY sells open

-427 pips on Demo 1 is due to 2 sells on EUR/JPY and CHF/JPY each (100-pip SL hit). Demo 2 didn't take those trades. Maybe too early to say anything, but these seem to have resulted from broker GMT difference (5 or 6 candles/week = difference in MA/Stoch/MACD values). In my opinion, such difference might be leveled off in the long run. I want to compare these accounts for a while.

Good thing is, there is no difference in trades between live and demo accounts. (I'm also trading Marilyn on my live account with 0.01 lot too!) This is thanks to the large timeframe (slight differences in price feeds do not affect trades) and I love it very much.

Will keep posting my findings if you are interested.

This week's result...

Demo 1 (with Saturday candle): +73.2 pips (3 AUD/USD sells & 1 AUD/JPY sells closed. 3 AUD/JPY sells, 1 USD/CHF buy, 3 CHF/JPY sells, 1 AUD/USD buy, 1 EUR/JPY sell are open with +207.6 pips floating.)

As for Demo 2 (without Saturday/Sunday candle), unfortunately the account has expired... (I reused an old demo account. ) But, I moved Marilyn to my live Alpari account (5 candles/week), so I will continue my comparison. Currently I have 2 CHF/JPY sells and 1 EUR/JPY sell open with +224.5 pips floating.

As far as I see, the broker GMT offset issue doesn't seem a big problem. Sometimes a broker with 6 candles takes a trade earlier than a broker with 5 candles, and vice versa. Sometimes both brokers take the same trade almost at the same time. My only concern is "UseCloseFriday" option. Is it hardcoded to close trades at 21:00 broker time? Last Friday, AUD/JPY sell was closed at 21:00 broker time, but it was 13:00 in GMT and a new AUD/JPY sell was opened shortly after that. So it looks like a kind of meaningless.

of course I am Always +33% profit in live GPF account with ~+10% running gain. Gains oscillate for 10 days without big trend. Just wait !

Yes Niepce stop migrate my WinDev/Empty4 to Empty4 code. I already mentionned this problem : If USeCloseOnFriday = Yes, Marylin don't have to take any more trade ! If someone have time to look at this code... For now, I recommande not to use this function

- Basket trailing starting at +10% equity, 70 % trailing*
- Basket close at equity +20%

* Aka the 10-3 rule : if you bank 10 units profit, don't let more than 3 units profit ruin your effort, hence the 70% basket trail.

Yes, me too, still considering this as the best ea there is on STHforum.

Untill now, it make consistant benefits with an equity being + in relation with the balance, wich is extremely seldom.

See attached my results, ootb exept lotsize, fixed to .1 and eurgbp added for the good rati. And I let her run, I respect her freedom, as I do for every Woman !

As Niepce seems to be a philosopher, a bit pessimistic, and an artist, because he preferes a Steinway more then a Lambo, ( I'll would say me too, even if I can't play a single note, or a Bosendorfer) it would be great if he would go on and do the necessary for having gbpusd also. Please Niepce, consider...
But ok, we respect ...

If USeCloseOnFriday = Yes, Marylin don't have to take any more trade ! If someone have time to look at this code... For now, I recommande not to use this function

OK, I will turn this off from the next week. Anyway, that's on AUD/JPY only according to Niepce's set file, isn't it? Hope it will not affect performance so much.

Niepce, I would appreciate it if you could let us know how your strategy using MPTM is going. I think yours is intriguing too... though I want to let Marilyn do just as she like for the time being.

SlipsHod has done a great upgrape of s/R indi !

Another Edit: LibSSSRv1 added to the downloads. It provides all the functionality of the indicator, except it does not (a) draw boxes or text, (b) set global variables, and (c) produce alerts. Its meant to be called directly by EAs, thus avoiding the need to use the indicator via iCustom calls or using global variables. Oh, and you can also process S/R zones for any currency pair, not just the one your EA's running on.

Hi niepce - would you be able to post your set file or explain how you are using MPTM for this please? I thought I knew MPTM pretty well but it seems not as I can't work out how to do this!

Setting up a new Marylin demo as the old one was getting confusing with other trades running on the same account.
