Makes me feel like I'm missing the party somehow :) Oh I forgot - that demo now has the AO fixes I posted back on page 60something, others don't. The bad trades were entered without that fix in place, don't know if it would have prevented them though.
You have all those yen pairs still open. They should have been closed already...
I had audjpy, gbpjpy, chrjpy open now :?: , please help check my chart whether have wrong?
My demo trading was OOTB.

Its the nature of the indicators on which the EA relies that there'll be different results on each broker, as their GMT offsets will create different H4 candles, shift the 240 LWMA and slide the pivots both horizontally and vertically. That's why not everyone has experienced the same demo trading results from the outset of the EA, and why it'd be best to open multiple demos on different brokers plus take other trader results into account when judging how well the EA is doing.

Its also been said plenty of times in the thread that its not a set & forget EA, which I totally agree with - the trader needs to intervene & take profit if they see the price stalling at a resistance/support level etc rather than just letting it ride, and the trader needs to disable the EA when major news is expected, and probably stop it running about 6 hours before close on Fridays too. As someone in Australia I can attest that the above hasn't really helped at all, as major movements both positive and negative have occurred at 3am when despite my best efforts I'd dozed off at the keyboard ;) Besides that, manual intervention does not help in situations where a normal-looking trade is entered and promptly runs hard for the stops without ever going into profit. Its situations like that where you rely on the EA not to have entered you into the trade in the first place if the trade wasn't in accord with the rules, or to have a stop and/or lotsize that protects you from too much damage.

I agree - and intervened an hour ago on my GP demo, having the basket closed at 6% profit, mostly JPY related. So last week's dd are balanced right now, and all in all the account grew by 2.5 % since I started with this EA some 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Also agree to what has been stated earlier today that the large number of JPY related trades were also a cumulated risk that should be avoided. Think I will follow Andy's advice and modify settings a bit to become more conservative for further tests.

I'm only mentioning it so that people who didn't experience the shock DD don't assume its all wine & roses with the EA and do something silly like trading it on a large live account. Its not ready for that just yet.

Well all my JPY trades are still open...this morning the board was all Green Pips, but something caused lots of volatility, and i can't see any news or the usual central bank official taking rates up or down.

I would of usually closed the basket, but I wanted to run without intervention for a while..

Although the EA has banked 554 pips today :o

Allright - go for it.

At least the ObjectFind portion of your errors shouldn't affect trading directly. But as a developer I'm always a bit alarmed if I do not face any problems on my machines and error messages related to my code keep poppin' up on somebody else's machines.

The point is that ObjectFind() should not get empty strings as an input value. Even if I intercept the error when it occurs (like in Andy's latest uploaded version) it would be nice to trace the error down to its root and eliminate it there.

There's a code statement somewhere that seems to be sending this empty string, and at the moment I have no idea why. If nobody else but you faces this problem (which I doubt) it might have something to do with your local settings, pairs, broker, ... latest weather forecast ???

It's hard to trace an error if you don't face it. Anyway: would like to!

Hi Andy,
EA is set not to trade on Friday.
Today I noticed that dashboard had 11 open pairs running, but Empty4 had only 5 trades open.
Anyway I closed all open and pending, will start fresh on Monday.
Other than that, EA was able to recover from larger DD and made most of the losses back, so this week I ended up with a small loss.

Hi Guys,

I'm all closed up now, EA had done well, I now have my 2 part system up and running, will test it out next week.

How does it work:

I have a sender EA and I have a receiver EA.

The sender EA is the normal EA that we have been running, the sender writes a file containing the drawdown and symbols that have been opened and saves it into experts/files.

The receiver EA is the normal EA modifyed to send BUY and SELL orders, the receiver reads the file that's been written by the sender, via a symbolic link.

I have a setting in the receiver EA called minDrawdown, when this drawdown is reached in the sender EA, the receiver EA, reads the symbols from the file and opens the orders.

Lets see how we do.

I can't see anything wrong with the trade, it must have been placed when the conditions were correct.
