Thank you for your reply. It means if you trade 3 pairs, you need to attach the ea to 3 charts. can you attached the semi auto.set file? What about those cross over between 20-80? Do you trade them? If I follow exactly Lindencourt daily system, it only trades between 20-80 (not OB/OS). Should we combine them together?

What is 'semi-auto"? How to make it work? Does it mean after I enable the EA, I need to choose "buy/sell" manually in the EA ?

Hi Raphael,

Semi Auto means you need to attach the ea to the chart when you have identified a potential trade set up. This allows you to visually confirm the signal before trading.

I personally prefer this method as I like to make sure stoch signal is clearly confirmed at the open of the candle, I also take into consideration the angle of the signal as well before trading.
eg. If stoch signal has crossed over ob/os but is running fairly flat, it would still trigger a trade with the auto ea, however I would probably give it another day to make sure price is definitely starting to trend and not just ranging.

Yes, if you trade 3 pairs you attach the ea to each chart.

No I don't trade any cross that occurs between 20 & 80, this is not the Lindencourt system it is a variation I have come up with based on analysing the Lindencourt system and demoing this particular strategy.
Please do not confuse them as they are virtually opposite of each other.

eurgbp - buy opened 0.03 0.82918 sl 200 tp 500 be +2 50

1st third of trade closed +49.9 pips and stop now moved to BE+2
Trade is currently at +70

Trades taken today 13/1/12
eurusd - buy opened 0.03 1.28286 sl 200 tp 500 be+2 50

Trade is currently +20

eurjpy - buy opened 98.486 sl 200 tp 500 be+2 50

Trade is currently +6

chfjpy - buy opened 81.357 sl 200 tp 500 be+2 50

Trade is currently +3



Please note the 3 trades taken today I took manually 90 minutes before the new candle as in all 3 cases the stoch signal had already crossed out of ob/os and Gday can't take the trade once this has occurred. I am currently using mptm to manage these trades.
Also, this is only because I use the semi auto function and strictdisiplinarianshelley, I think the full auto chilloutshelley version will take the trades accordingly!

Steve...not sure if anything can be done about that, but there are many occasions where the stoch has crossed 80/20 prior to the close of the candle (the new candle confirms the move).
Perhaps there could be a function to open a trade at the next candle??
(this suggestion is purely from a non-coder perspective, so not sure if this is possible without re-writing the whole thing so please ignore if this is a totally unrealistic expectation )

Hi,

Great work here, and thanks to Steve and many other contributors.

Attached below is a statement for Gday EA OOTB since start of trading on Monday 9th January, demo trading 19 pairs.

It started the week in negative equity until Friday when at one stage, it was 6% in profit. But it ended the week just over 1% loss with two open trades.

I was wondering if anyone can post a script that would enable basket closure at xxx % profit of the balance. I was thinking of using MPTM EA to do this, but it can part close in two stages only whereas Gday needs to part close in three.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Steve,

I have the latest version of Gday EA from post one. It has failed to close a trade on reverse cross of the stoch lines, and also failed to trigger the stop loss set at 200 pips.

I wonder if anyone else has come across the same problems.

Correct. The stoch line just touched 20, and has not yet jump outside the 20 level. I have since changed my stoch settings to 78/22 to avoid this happening again.

I have 6 Empty4 running (3 MBT, 2 Cowboy IBFX AU and 1 FX Open)

Gday on FXopen constantly uses 30% of my processor .. quite strange.
Whereas any other Empty4 instance aren't using it most of the times. (only Hannover requires some memory, which I can understand)

GDay is pretty much straight forward and simple, so I don't think the EA needs so much use of the processor, I'm more suspecting FXOpen Empty4 running some background processes ... but for what !?!?

Yep. We know it cannot be Gday if you are not running Hanover etc. There are only the usual functions called - CountOpenTrades etc. Even Stoch is only read at the start of each new candle.
