The synergy bar TS does work but if you check on the experts tab (or Journal if backtesting) you will see an error message as the SL cannot be moved as too close to price. I might change the code so if it fails it moves it to previous candle h/l it defaults to one before that maybe.

I was testing the EA last week with first 5 min and then 15 mins......i had quite a few losses with 5 mins as the chop just chewed the account up and then i could see that 15 mins, although better results was still going to be similar.......i was using Tradeoncurrentcandle=False and UselastcolourchangeSL=True

This week i have started with 1 hour but as a few of you are already doing this timeframe would it be more useful if i tried something different ? such as
1. go back to 5min or 15min and switch it to react on Current candle ?
or
2. stay on 1 hour but switch to react on Current candle ?

happy to do whatever to help with the research
any suggestions ?

Kimmy, thanks for the response. I think it would be good to get a good variety of testing going. We should all use the same broker but i think that is too much hassle, i think once we find a good set of parameters for a timeframe we can then look at the broker effect. I currently have a M5 and H1 test going using different magicnumbers and comments to help with checking what is happening. M15 trading alot so far 1 win and 3 losses today. I am using OOTB apart from UseATRFilter=true and UseCandlestickTrailingStop=true. ATRFilter has blocked me out of at least trade on H1, check expert tab for "Trading NOT Allowed".

Rob has done a lot of testing so should be able to point us in the right direction.

Currently UseOpenOppositeTradeOnClose is not working properly so let set to false for now, i'll fix for next release.

George has done some updating of DFTD code so i will incorporate this for next version. We are currently working on Shake's Recovery method at the moment. George has made an excellent suggestion and i will look to incorporate as so as i have time.

Hello all,

I have done alot of backtesting! And i use an older version of changethecolor for m15.
Tp 30 and sl 25 with martingale, it gives a pretty nice result on eur/usd!
Its from 4november till now!
I`ll attach the set file and the older version i use for m15

On H1 i use the newest version with ootb settings! Today was a losing day, but it wasn`t a good day to trade cause of the us holiday.

I`m really looking forward to play with the function Mike is going to fix

Strange, it is programmed to retry 10 times. Which broker are you using this on and what timeframe and settings?

Just a note to anyone having issues, please let me know the broker, timeframe and attach your set file for me to check.
