I love using ADR to exit some positions. Here is a GBPJPY 5 minute chart with ADR. Notice how price stops there for at least a bounce. Does not mean it won't go back up and higher but it sure shows a reaction at least with this currency pair.

don't mind the big picture but this is on FXCM feed.
same 4H USDJPY.
CSS set to 4H with different thresholds.
seems like the larger thresh gets more goldenrods going.

MY favorite indicator for banking profit is the SPBI indicator.

What in the blazes is going on out there. I am not complaining I am on the positive side on most of these trades but the EURO just dropped out like crazy.

I banked every profit I saw as fast as I could. Dang what a move around back to 0 that was.

Hmm the yen rise seems to be caused by us data. Euro, draghi had bad news

9:07 AM "There was a very strong prevailing consensus towards an interest rate cut," says Draghi, now taking questions at his press conference. The answer suggests the vote wasn't unanimous (Weidmann?). As Draghi points to higher stock prices as one measure of the ECB's success, markets turn tail, the Stoxx 50 (FEZ) now off 0.5%, and the euro (FXE) really tumbling, -0.8%.

9:16 AM It tells you all you need to know, says Danske's Owen Callan, that the ECB would consider negative deposit rates rather than buying government paper. Draghi saying he has an "open mind" on negative deposit rates looks to be what sent the euro tumbling about 100 pips on one 5-minute bar. FXE -0.6% premarket.

JPY-pairs move back down (after Kurodas statement that caused the rally), must be due to profit taking or rather SPBI :-)
