I woke up this morning to read a warning I have no disk space left on my leetle crap top lap top. My IT guy "cleaned" up some disk space promptly wiping out all my accounts, platforms, access to Myfxbook and e-mails.

Sometimes, I miss the days when we used carrier pigeons and the Pony express.

I'm peeved because I couldn't trade the whole day (and its a public holiday to boot)....aaaarrgh, withdrawal symptoms overcoming me. Need CPR, electro-therapy shock treatment *he says as he sags to the floor with glazed eyes*

Hey Pooler, great to see that yourself and unknown has made progress with the new version lol. Also yes the log files can get big especially its looks like your new EA makes tons of trades on so many pairs!

I dunno if theres actually a way to turn off the logging of every single trade thats made by an EA? Maybe someone can enlighten me?

Hey Mantkinth my good Man,

If it creates a log file every time there's an error message then by all means there's the problem. I was running 6c single and I just ignored the error message pop -ups and turned the volume off---191 GB later the paw paw hit the fan. As a result I couldn't log on to the competition account and I'm a whisker away from hitting margin. I've got no chance anyway--the comp leader did $ 626 000 on the 50k account in the morning by opening 50 lot sizes on Gold as it went south.

But it been a good exercise in what to do if the same thing happens and its a live account. Do I hear someone yelling "VPS" at me....?

The thing is that it shouldn't log the errors if theres no print commands in the EA. I think however it does log every trade open, when the sl, tp changes etc though.

I dunno about having a VPS pooler lol, youll prob hit your disk space limit with the log files too lol

mine seems to write to the log way too much when the spread gets too high on a pair. I noticed this with audnzd earlier, my log file got huge just from that one pair trying to open trades when spread exceeded 10 pips. gonna have to create a batch file to run every couple hours to wipe the log clean I guess.

will be nice to know that we wont get those annoying 'disk full' errors from this EA.
too many demos cause unnecessary log files and system re-installs.

Hi, those print commands are only used for debugging purposes. So no use keeping them when we already tested the code and know it works.. 6c4 is going nicely on my testing account, started with $5000 on Tuesday, today's equity is approx $ 6.800 with a max equity draw down of 13%. But still debugging...
