Hi Phillippe,

Q1 - all types of supply demand zones, no filter.
Q2 - no difference from standard ATR, the indi is just to illustrate the ATR on the chart
Q3 - I cannot provide any details as I trade other methods on my live account. The method is very similar to Bob's 10.4, but the stop loss is much smaller to 240lwma. One thing is never trade high impact news , as price can eaily blow thru the supply demand zones
I forgot to ask : Which pairs perform well ?
None in particular. I would review all high time frame charts every weekend to decide which pairs to trade, and avoid pairs where the price is choppy for the past week.

BTW, I use this method to trade the Dow Jones, equally effective.
so it will be difficult to automatized if you add some personal decision each week end !

it must be a formal rule

In manual trading, you can see where your sl and tp (0.8 ATR) are. If R:R is less than 1, then I do not take the trade.

Quite true. Nothing is straight forward in forex. What we can do is choose which pairs to trade over the weekend, then only attach the ea to these pairs.

There will never be an ea that can trade without any human intervention. That is why most ea fail. The market is forever changing and one has to adapt the way one trades according to the prevailing conditions. For example, if I see the yen pairs ranging for the past two weeks, I would use Steve's GDAY MK2 H4 to trade, if I see price is stochs is < 20 on H4, I would use a PB or IB ea to trade the reversal, so you don't need to be in front of the pc whole day. In a way, it is not fully automatic, but only semi-auto. Works quite well for anyone who can only check the charts once every few hours.

I look upon an ea as one of many trading tools which I can use to suit each trading condition. There will never be a Holy Grail ea, it does not exist.

Try demo trading this method manually on H4 or H1 tf for one month and see if it works.

The following are my favourite pairs : GU, GJ, GBPAUD, GBPNZD, EU, EJ, EURAUD, EURNZD, AU, AJ, AUDCHF, NU, NJ, CADJPY, CHFJPY, UJ, USDCHF

I would like to stress that this NOT my method, but ideas borrowed from many contributors in Steve's forum.

The entry and exit rules are quite simple and mechanical. The only discretion is choosing which pairs to trade once per week over the weekends, and NOT TRADING DURING HIGH IMPACT NEWS which includes NFP, interest rate decision by BOE, ECB and BOJ.

May be you can write down rules to describe how you select pairs that were choppy past week ?

-> what is for you choppy ?
-> how do you decide which pairs to trade ?

I will run these rules with FT

I am sorry I cannot help you there. There is no technical description to describe choppy, it just means that when you look at a daily chart, you see daily price bars trading sideways. If you have been trading forex for a while you will recognise when PA is trading sideways and going nowhere.

Thanks anyway.

NFP NEWS JUST BLOW THRU MANY H4 SUPPORT RESISTANCE ZONES, just check your charts.

The same thing happened when ECB cut interest rates yesterday.

So, DO NOT TRADE DURING HIGH IMPACT NEWS.
