Slopey Graeme: another pipEasy-inspired trend trading EA

Hi to all,


Only a question: during the chart input on Empty4, Graeme start immediatly a trade and immediately close it. This behavior has happened to pairs with high spread:

Seems like several are experiencing this behavior. Don't know much about EA operation and less about coding, but was wondering if it would make a difference turning off EA advisors while loading then turn back on. :

Yes, might be a solution, it happened to me too. (only 2 trades but during loading on charts)

I wonder if this is a consequence of not enough symbols having history loaded.

Over in the coders forum, George discovered that using the iBars() call on a symbol will force download.
Perhaps there should be a loop in the init phase for any multi-pair EA to use iBars() before ever hitting to start().

I see that it is already in the init() in Graeme but only for the current time frame (NULL). Maybe it should be for more?

I have the same problem so what I do is refresh each charts and then the problem go away.

Something's acting up.

I closed all trades on my demo (had a E/U that was over 110 pips but hadn't closed 1/2) I turned off EA's then loaded back onto all charts. Turned EA's back on and immediately got several trades opened but not at typical entry levels.

Guess we'll have to wait for Steve to comment.

Just starting to catch up after 4 extremely frustrating days without an internet connection.

Re the possible missing bars thingy, the version in post 1 that I uploaded last Thursday includes the iBars thingy. In int init()

This should do the trick unless I have misunderstood George's post about this.

Hi Steve,

I wasn't able to download last Thursday's fix, but I downloaded your iBars fix and compared it with the first ever Graeme, and the only difference was the iBars code you mentioned.

I'm not entirely sure you've uploaded (and updated) the version you posted last Thursday?
