Hi,

I've come to the conclusion, this strategy works but only if you are prepared to take a large drawdown, the latest addition of the CSS indi, limits the amount of trades taken, but reduces the drawdown.

You can run the EA without the CSS by turning the switch useCSS to false.

I'm now looking at other ideas I have.

I can't see any other work I can do on the EA, I'm looking at some other strategy, using the experience I have picked up from this strategy.

Anything valid comes up, we can soon add to the EA.

I am getting the following when adding EAv2.04. Can someone suggest what I am doing wrong.

I've never seen this error.

Validate that you have the file. ex4 in the folder experts.
If the file does not exist you have to compile the .mq4.

As a non-coder I want to express also thanks for the careful descriptions of the different variables within the code. I have one question regarding tradingHours: we use 24h Format. Does it refer to GMT or do we have to adapt to local time or Server time?
Since there seems to be no intention to continue to work on this bot, can we summarize and can testers share their best settings of the versions you will continue to test?
15.1% Profit with DD of less than 3% with the then actual version of April 28th ootb is quite extraordinary.
Upgraded to 10.4v2 I got no trades with useCSS on, so I turn useCSS off and there we go.

You are welcome to do any test you like, it all helps.

Time settings are for closing trades only, not trading times of the EA, the times are local times, so if you are in Italy. just add +1 hour to the OOTB settings.

I have had three trades so far using CSS (one closed for profit, the other two are still going) , so it is trading but clearly filtering out many pairs.

Here are my results on Andy’s EA. In my opinion it the best out there at the moment.
I agree that for the time being we should leave the development alone, because the EA producing outstanding results as it is. No need to over engineer something which works OK already.

The 5 accounts below are 5 different versions of the EA. They were all started in April beginning with the 3/04/2013 then 17/04/2013 the last one on the 24/04/2013

None of them are Out of the box settings.
That did not work for me because of the frequent hits of SL and wiping out all the profits in one go.
My approach is to take it slow and steady and as you see it is working.
I have version 2.00 at the moment running on 3 x LIVE accounts. They are making very decent weekly returns.

I have not tried 2.02 yet but that is coming too.
2.04 just did not work for me at all. As soon as I changed any of the TP and SL settings the EA crashed and or still took TP and SL levels different from my settings, so basically the internal logic of TP and SL settings cannot be disabled.

very few trades with latest.

Thanks for setting up the comparison link to those accounts. I never looked into that feature on MyfXbook. Yes the earlier versions are better and performing reliably and easy to manage them.

The reason behind the success of this EA in my opinion is that it selects the entry points spot on and deletes all expiring pending orders so we do not accumulate extra large losses. This is why DD on this one is really small.
I am fully concentrating to use this EA and it's different versions on my LIVE accounts. I am still experimenting with TP settings and GEC closure amounts. Yes all those DEMO account uses GEC to close all trades at a set equity level. Works like a charm so far.
