Hi Guys,

As some of you will know, the course I run uses software calculated entries - students then learn to cherry pick the best ones.

For 8th March to 17th March we had a 100% trade win ratio - 9 straight days at an average of about 3 trades a day = approximately 27 consecutive wins. So, if you do the maths and had loaded up maximum leverage, compounded etc etc that 9 day run would theoretically have made you a fortune .... :o

HOWEVER the real strategy returns on AVERAGE somewhere between 75% & 80% trade win %, and nobody in their right mind with a substantial live account is going to go for broke by betting on a 100% winning streak - the secret to long term success trading forex is very careful low risk trading.

HOWEVER, if you could predict when a winning streak is imminent ..... hmmm

There are types, Spatial-Temporal and Anomaly patterns that I look for. I look at each currency pair as a data stream and apply both patterns. At the moment I do that manually which takes a lot time as I am looking at so many time-frames so I like to stick with a few familiar currencies...
My goal is get an Algorithm to process this for me and leave the trading decision up to me... :)

If you search a developer to do this, I would like to get involved in such a project. Just let me know

Hi Philippe,
The software is part of the chart suite which is supplied as part of the full course.
Please note this is NOT free but is part of the paid package.

Anybody is welcome to sign up for the completely free 30 day guest look at the program at http://www.fx-works.com

Best regards,

I found one guy to do this, Jeff Hawkins who is a famous scientist. His company is called Numenta and they have the type of Algo I think would work great. I talked to some of his top people and they would allow me to run my ideas with their Algo. The catch is 13,000 usd per month cost and a upfront setup fee. 8-) Check out their technology https://www.groksolutions.com/technology.html

My budget is not there yet for this unproven idea and they have large financial companies that burp that money clamoring for their Algo so I am looking for a similar Algo but at a much reduce cost or when I have enough tp spare I will go back to them. :)

Obviously those contest accounts are insanely over-leveraged and nobody in his right mind would trade it like that with real money. But if you could actually perform like that on a consistent basis, run it at a sane level of leverage and you'd do very VERY well.

TD, your demo account for the last month looks fabulous! 100%+ in a month is amazing. You have a 35% DD but you could always scale back a bit if you wanted. 30%/month with 10% DD would be VERY nice. I need to go take a look at your journal....

macman, when I get a few spare neurons to rub together, I definitely want to look at your 30-day test drive!

I have worked at a "similar" solution with NeuroSolution product. http://www.neurosolutions.com/products/ns/

I have developed a C# interface with my Windev software to call Neurosolution product, but failed to have a good win/bad trade ratio. I thought forex is a too noisy data stream. Or may be there was a bug in a so complex system ! It would be great to work in a team to controlled each step.

May be you can have a look at neurosolution ! otherwise, for
The catch is 13,000 usd per month cost and a upfront setup fee.
I'm in for 13$/month ! Someone else ?

So far I have not found an easy or inexpensive way to do probability assessment using time & spatial pattern analysis AND give a predictive recommendation... I do it but I cannot do it using big data sets over large timeframes and with multiple currency pairs... :)

Guess I will have to wait until my trading capital is big enough to afford it... :D

Here is a paper from April this year on one group at NYU trying out one algorithm version... Not what I am looking for but it is an easy read on the subject...

Top dawg in contest is now past 55.5mio (!)

Well, one might say, is this sustainable? and I would say, that's not the point in this case; there are many ways to skin the forex cat.

Even if one started with 10 times less the cash, and had several of those pockets, the strategy is bound to make a killing with at least one of those pockets, and all he has to do is withdraw and set aside a tiny amount (comparably) to continue trading for more.

Crazy stuff (!)
