It's the CSS. It kills my computer too.
I just use the old version without CSS

Just reduce the maxbars to 50 - you don't need the old bars unless visually backtesting anyway.

Yes I've done that. Makes no difference I run loads of charts so it's heavy on Ram.

actually a faster processor helps. or i think helps.

my work pc has only 4gb ram but runs at 2.9ghz...and is smooth always

my home pc has 8gb ram but only runs at 2.4ghz and always freezes up.
weakness?

Are you running the currency slope strength with all the currencies on the "info" page? For me that's the one that chugs the processor a bit - much better when the number of bars for that is reduced.

I have to admit my main PC is a bit of a monster but my laptop isn't and that copes ok.

Cheers,
Dave.

first two days trading with nb10.5:
usd/cad +50 pips
usd/chf +100 pips

i look for setups on h4 and place only one single pending order on h1 with take profit at next h4 pivot point.

Yep - AUDNZD also killed me. take the losses I had there away and it was pretty good for me. I had three AUDNZD entries, all triggered, the first hit target but the other two lost taking all the gains from position 1 and some more.
was thinking from the daily CSS perspective. it would be probability based more beneficial to look for trades on the top3 vs bottom3?

there needs to be strong strength versus weak weakness.

i remember this week has been CAD GBP USD/EUR in the top 4...

thinking from a probability basis.

safer i guess is top 2 vs bottom 2.

daily css from start of this week.

my understanding from Bob's postings is that it's not necessarily that the top two are the strongest, but the ANGLE they are pointing in will determine relative strength. for instance in your chart CAD and USD are both at the top, however one is angled up and the other angled down. If those directions continue, you wouldn't want to play say CAD vs AUD, because they're both angling down at about the same rate, so likely to trade in a choppy manner, not CAD long just because it is on top. You might have a strong USDCAD long setting up with the crossover occuring at a daily level.

Can someone confirm my interpretation or patently correct it?

that's true.
that's the advanced version.

also crossing zero is also a factor. usually if it does it keeps going that direction(whichever that is)

but it at that time was alot easier to say. top 2 bottom 2.

anyway looking at the end game picture at the end of the week. all carnage was precipitated by the 10.4 conditions. RSI2 stuck somewhere + in alliance with 240.

its been a good week.

Thanks guys, I will try those hints, I think it might be the processor.
Can I go off the rez a little here, does anyone use 10.4 to trade retraces when a pair is overextended?
Dosn't CSS top and bottom match ups indicate what has ALREADY run far apart?
I start my day here with 10.4 and after using further filters of volume and fibs I end up only with 2 or 3 choices. I also only trade full lots so one chart is quite enough when trying to interpret a 1m chart volume. I have to say and I don't intend any criticism (I love this thread), although fantastic pip counts are accomplished I doubt it compares with a well managed single chart trading full lots. I am often stuck with a slow mover as the pip gets racked up here but if you review and switch each day I usually get a winner by the end of the week (this week excepting).
Am I right in thinking all pairs are overextended a bit this week?....usd/jpy have pushed everything to extreme.
Anyway, I appreciate all your work, this is a very tight thread compared to most I visit, and a lot more friendly! Have a good weekend.
