Possible good trade. You never do this the first week of the month (go with JPY strength) but could be a good setup for today. Watch the angle of the JPY on the 4H chart and go with the flow.amleth wrote:Possible short on CHFJPY?

Surely this is where the RSI is "flat-lining" at the top (for a short) or "flat-lining" at the bottom for a long. i.e. been at the top or bottom for a few bars or more.fok wrote:Jemook wrote:Hi Jeremy and all, somewhere else you did write the same. Thanks! Took the trade a bit late, but still managed to get about 30 pips at WS1. However, with the 240 MA so near, I thought it was a relatively low risk trade if the stop loss was placed slightly above 240 MA.

Amleth, I pinched a cheeky 20 pips from that setup but really I thought those three long candle-wicks were saying "be wary of short trades"amleth wrote:nanningbob wrote:Possible good trade. morning guys from another grey day in uk, the chfjpy trade although chf is under jpy on the 4 hour css, its pointing up same angle as jpy, although jpy has flattened a bit, so does that negate going short?

Good opportunity to sell GBPUSD, but I am always scared to go against GBP !!
Guys, lets keep this thread ONLY for the trades that you are taking with a screenshot.
We still have the big thread http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... start=4810
for the general discussions.

Re: 10.4/10.5 trades only
What that means is they will range with each other. In other words they will stay between a high and low. So depending where you put your trade will determine your success. Except for the run yesterday, if you look at a 4H chart price movement has just been passing back and forth across the WP line for the last 2 1/2 weeks. It is ranging with a big news story knocking it out for a day.art wrote:morning guys from another grey day in uk, the chfjpy trade although chf is under jpy on the 4 hour css, its pointing up same angle as jpy, although jpy has flattened a bit, so does that negate going short?

We are all totally impressed with your trading skills. I know you posted a log a couple of weeks ago. But as I remember you have some pretty straightforward rules about when to get in/out.
Could you post these again?
Thanks

This list of trades has nothing to do with skills, history has proven that JPY after such a movement will bounce back. I just used that bounce back to enter and exit trades. I entered a pending on every line on a 20 pip grid, and TP on the next line. Every next order that entered, closed the previous after the spread has been 'done'. If prices rise I win, if they don't I'm not in.
Nothing to do with 10.4, just taking advantage of the situation. One month ago the same movement killed my account, now I used it to raise my balance.
The JPY pairs are a bonus these days, I'm planning to do a full month survey to see how much of this months profit is due to JPY, and how much of "real 10.4/5 trading. My guess is 1:1 or in other words 50% is JPY and the other 50% are other pairs.
