Cowboy IBFX now TradeStation Forex

I don't think I was paying attention back in Nov 16th 2011 but Cowboy IBFX is now a part of TradeStation? Has anyone have had experience with tradestation?

Yes, you got it right. As an Cowboy IBFX customer, I have recieved (as I supposed every customer has) a few emails of notification and one asking me to give permission for them to continue to be my broker by signing (electronically) a User Agreement

As a relatively satisfied customer of Cowboy IBFX I am seriously wondering what impact this will have on their policies an practice. I have heard both bad and good about Cowboy IBFX, and good and bad about tradestation. We should probably keep a close eye on their practices

So I chatted with a Cowboy IBFX rep. Everything from the Empty4 to the price feeds are still going through the original Cowboy IBFX. Only difference now is that Tradestation is the broker. When or if this may change I do not know. Keep an eye out folks!

FYI I've been trading through Tradestation for almost a year. At first they cleared through GAIN Capital and there were many MANY complaints about them. Then it April last year they switched to self-clearing, and I have been quite satisfied. They are a DMA/STEP broker according to http://www.100forexbrokers.com/dma-direct-market-access -- no commissions, variable (and pretty tight) spreads, near-instant execution, no requoting or other shenanigans. I have never seen evidence of stop-hunting or other nefarious behavior.

Just got the go ahead to download my TradeStation platform this morning... (done)

Been watching some of the videos on the platform , already finding some nice little tidbits on capabilities.

My intentions are to place most of my trades through TS but I also intend to open a new Empty4 account (I was recently kicked off FXOpen as a U.S. trader) with a as yet to be determined U.S. crim.

An Empty4 account for running any ea's I deem worthy is a necessity and the simple fact is with so many years invested in Empty4 it is unrealistic to dump it , need it for Craigs Entropy at least..
