121 pattern with pull back continuation

Hi Everyone,

I'm a harmonic trader and I use korharmonics in identifying possible trade setups, but there is one trade setup I feel could be automated into an ea, it doesn't occur very often but when it does it has a high success rate.

So I'd thought I would see if anybody would be interested in automating it hopefully it may prove fruitful.

The pattern is taken directly from Bryce Gilmore's The Price Action Manual.

You may verify this exact setup, to do this I have attached the Korharmonics indicator and also history train ea, simply configure Korharmonics to identify only 121 patterns then screen the results it gives you ensuring the pattern meets the criteria I have outlined above.

You will notice at least a reaction, so I'm thinking it would be good to set it to b/e after 5 pips. And there are not many that meet the specifications so it's not going to be a high frequency ea but I'm after quality not quantity.

If anyone thinks this is a worthwhile endeavor it would be great to here from you

Yes Korharmonics identified these patterns intitially, then I screened them to make sure that BcD = 50, or that it was a perfect 121 pattern like I stated in the first post.

I have attached a decompiled version of korharmonics for programming purposes...

is anyone interested in this project? I'm currently obtaining quotes for this to get built.

So I have modified the the Korharmonics code to detect the pattern, simply load the attached indi with the defaults and it will detect the pattern, I think this is the hardest part done, just need to automate the trading process.

If you want to test it load the history train ea in the strategy tester and load the indi

Just for confirmation of what I am about to write, drag any old moving average/rsi/stoch/bulls - anything that is not a 'custom' (i.e. abortion) indi. The press ctrl + D to bring up the data window and hover the mouse pointer over any old candle on the chart.

In the data window, all sorts of thingies will be showing values. The abortion of an indi you have posted here will show nothing.

This means it is not storing any information in the buffers that an EA interrogates to drag information from the indi - seriously bad programming.

So, there is no way that I know of dragging info from said abortion, so you are unlikely to attract the interest of any programmers. Cleverer people than me - Matt, TIG, sq for example - might be able to do something with it but I doubt they would be interested. You can always ask - you never know.
