Hi Evaluator,
I'm finally taking some time to look at this. I've got the indicators running on 5min EURUSD.
I understand now why the repainting of the Extreme indicator is not a big concern. It frequently fires, then unpaints, then paints, then unpaints, etc -- but the other 3 indicators are not generally pointing in the same direction. By the time they do, the Extreme indicator has settled on its final value. Given that, the history I've looked at seems pretty promising.
I'm not sure about the amount of repainting on the other indicators and how much challenge that would present in realtime. I have definitely seen the Sentiment indicator repaint on a closed bar. You only pay attention to the indicator colors at the CLOSE of a bar, correct? What do you do when the indicators repaint on closed bars? E.g. the 16:25 GMT 2/20 bar was blue when it closed, but it flipped from blue to red a minute later. The other two indicators were red and the Extreme indicator called for a short. If you looked only at the close, you would not have gone short -- but if you looked a minute later, you would have. How would you handle that?
Another question: at 14:50 GMT 2/20 the Emotion and Sentiment indicators were red, and the Trendline switched to red -- one bar after the Extreme indicator started showing preliminary "extreme bottom" signs:

Would you take the short signal at that point? When the Trendline turned red, the Extreme indicator had been signaling "potential extreme bottom" for a bar, but you didn't know at that point whether it was going to "stick" or not. In fact it did not, so the final Extreme bottom indicator didn't come until after the other three indicators turned red. (And even then you didn't know if that was the "final" Extreme indication.) So would you have gone short there, or would the "starting to show an Extreme bottom" indication have blocked you from going short, even though you didn't have the final Extreme signal yet?
If you took the short, you'd have gotten whipsawed for a 25 pip loss, but that's not bad considering the price action. But if you've got preliminary "extreme bottom" signals, do you still go short?
Also, when the Trendline indicator switches, BOTH red and blue are drawn for 2-5 candles. (At least that's how it shows in history.) When do you say it's switched from blue to red? When red first draws, or 2-5 candles later when blue stops drawing? That can make a huge difference.
Finally, I tried running the Combi indicator from the first post, and it hung my Empty4. Any guesses why?
Thanks!
