Why would MetaQuotes ban CSS? I know something is going on with MetaQuotes/Empty4 but I do not know what. Could somebody point me in the right direction (site? forum? thread?)
Thank tou.

Check the MQL4 Market for my best EA's and Indicators.

Its third party software they are going after. I dont think it will affect your indies but I am prepared just in case. Steve sent an email out Sunday with a thread to discuss the issue. If you go to MetaQuotes home page you will see discussion on it. Most forums have something. I posted a note a couple of days ago on this thread and connected it to a story.
Hi Nanningbob for the first time in my wretched trading career I am getting on the right side of the trend and that thanks to your system. Even if I go into draw down the trades still come back into a profit. I don't say that I don't close losing trades. I do. Very importantly your system requires patience, patience and that I refer to the gentleman that lost his account. It is no good to sit at the computer all day and try and trade. Look for opportunities and place orders and walk away.
A lot of people see DD as the worst thing in trading.
The way I look at it is that the trading is like an athlete. To make a high or far jump, a athlete needs to take some distance back, and then after a sprint make the jump for the medal.
In trading, the DD is the distance, and the trend is the track where the price makes the sprint to claim the medal at the TP.

Bob, even if worse comes to worse the ban will only effect live accounts from what I have read, so nothing to stop us putting indies on demo and trading live.. Simples, if true.
Maybe someone can clear this up for me. On the CSS info page should ignore future be set to true for both time frames? True shows sharper angles than a false setting.

So DD is actually a necessary part of trading.
To everything there is an equal action and reaction. DD is a sometimes neccesary evil of Forex. However, like everything else in trading it has to be managed properly. You cant excuse DD just because you took bad trades and wont close losers out. You have a set of rules that you enforce. For example no trade gets bigger than 1 or 2 or 3% of the account so you close it. OR this is the one I practise if my account hits 10% DD I wont take anymore trades or I will reduce my lots sizes in my trading and if it ever gets to 20% I will take action and close at least 3-7% of the trades down depending on my ananlysis. Then when I clean up that mess I go to smaller lots sizes. MM is always the keyd to managing DD.
