THE US JOB NUMBERS ARE BETTER THAN EXPECTED BUT THE NFP IS STILL LESS THAN 200,000, A FIGURE ECONOMISTS RECKON IS NEEDED TO GET UNEMPLOYMENT DOWN.
THE PERCEPTION IS THAT THE FED IS UNLIKELY TO WITHDRAW MONETARY STIMULUS TILL NEXT YEAR. THE US AND JAPANESE BOND PRICES ARE FALLING, SO THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN IS THE STOCK MARKET. HENCE, THE DOW AND S&P RISE. TH TOIS ALSO HELPED THE NIKKEI TO REBOUND ABOVE 13,000.
THE DOW AND S&P HAVE BOTH BROKEN ABOVE 240MA, BUT THE NIKKEI IS STILL BELOW IT.
IT IS STILL EARLY DAYS YET, THE DOW MAY STILL FALL BELOW THE 240MA BY THE CLOSE TONIGHT AS PROFIT TAKING OCCURS.
THIS MARKET IS STILL JITTERY WITH HIGH VOLATILITY. UNTIL IT SETTLES TO A BIT NEAR NORMALITY, I WILL NOT BE BUYING UK EQUITIES YET.
ALL THE YEN PAIRS ARE RETRACING BUT STILL UNDER 240MA, SO LOOKING TO SELL FROM RESISTANCE NEXT WEEK.

Re: Supply Demand EA
Bob was experimenting with trade entry using round numbers rather than pivots when the conditions are met for his 10.4 system. Apparently, he found the adaptation work quite well.
I found one of Steve's old Round number ea, and added SlopeRSI and 240ma filter. BUY when RSI is pegged at the bottom and price is above 240 ma, and sell when RSI is pegged at the top and price is below 240ma.
I don't know whether the ea is any good or not, will try it on demo next week. If it works, we will ask Steve to release it to the main forum.
You can find the original ea here ...................
You do not need the 10.4 4H RSI2 INDI on your chart for the ea to work, the code is embedded in the ea.

Re: Supply Demand EA
The Dow Jones closed above the 240ma today.
However, it is still hovering around 240ma and there is strong resistance above the present level.
It is likely to range around 240ma in the coming weeks until the maket decides which way it is heading.
The volatility index VIX had risen in recent weeks and the dow is up one day and down the next. I think most equity investors will be sitting on their hands until we see a clearer picture emerging.
The consensus is that the bull market is still intact, and that we are seeing a correction after a strong bull run from the beginning of the year.
We are aware that the bull run was fueled by excess liquidity from the central banks. So, everyone is watching when the monetary stimulus would be tapered and ultimately withdrawn.

Re: Supply Demand EA
There were a couple of gold shorts this week. Gold has been in a down trend for quite a while.
PRICE BELOW 240MA, RSI pegged at the top/Stochs overbought.
The last one was not traded because of NFP NEWS RELEASE.

As price likes to hang around round numbers, it is worth setting the distance from round number to pending line to 10 instead of 5.
Code: Select all
extern int DistanceFromLinePips=10;//Distance from the round number to place the pending trade lines. - SteveHopwood

I will put it on general release with pleasure if it turns out to be profitable, so let me know if so.fx8000 wrote:Bob was experimenting with trade entry using round numbers rather than pivots when the conditions are met for his 10.4 system. Apparently, he found the adaptation work quite well.

In the meantime, I am going to study your code to see how you coded the RSI pegged thingy - been trying to work that out for a while. I may need to pick your brains.

I pinched it from one of the ea's in your forum, I can't remember which one.

Edit : I remember now, it came from Mr Long's MULTI 10.4 EA.

I have imbibed a bit tonight, so not a lot is making much sense, but even so I think I understand how, for example, if (UseRsiTma && RsiTma1 < RsiTmaOS) SendLong = true; arises.
And am most grateful to you for hacking Andy's code.

Thanks, Steve. In the version I uploaded earlier, I include UseStoch as another option for pullback, which I decided to remove later, as it complicates matters, hence the "UseRsiTma" bit.
Your mod ea will be on demo next week. Will let you know if it works.
Have a nice weekend.
BTW, Mr Long embedded Paul's SlopeRSI code in his ea from v2.00 upwards.
