Renko Bars on Chart Window Indicator

Hello All.

I've been out of the coding scene for a while for Empty4 but I'm now working my way back into it in my spare time.

I'm wondering if Steve or anyone else can answer this question for me.

Is there a reason that an indicator for the chart window cannot paint Renko boxes much like Heiken Ashi does? I've seen lots of Renko bar indicators that sit in a separate window, but I can't seem to find any that function on the chart window.

The reason I ask is that I can't stand the offline chart model needed to use Renko. Having 2 charts open is stupid frankly and I'm wondering why it can't be done by painting boxes on the chart window.

In looking at the RenkoLiveChart_v3.2 EA, it seems to be creating/reading and adding to a separate .hst file (M2 for instance) in order to power the offline chart in real time.

Is there some reason that you couldn't have an indicator build that file and read from it much the way the EA does? Or perhaps build a .dll file that would build the .hst file so the indi could read from it? I apologize if that's a stupid question, but it seems so ridiculous to have to have multiple charts open in order to use Renko.
