I got in a bit earlier using M15 CSS colour change. I can see the H1 is now turning grey so probably a good time to get in now if you aren't in already. Notice how the bands are converging (now crossing) signalling a trend change?nicoacademia wrote:AUDCAD AUDCAD AUDCADJemook wrote:The only place I can see pinning today is on the xxxCAD pairs. I'm looking at AUDCAD for a short:
Below 960 MA, RSI2xTMA Pinned. You can see the red line is the SL, blue line is the TP. Risking 1:1 but technically 0.5:1 or 1:2 because I'll shut before it gets to the SL.

Thanks very much Jeremy!Lifesys wrote:then click mouse just under the line to capture & move. Otherwise you get hooked up in the Empty4 'OneClickTrading' system which is far more risky & not as simple as EasyOrder.
Another useful hint - when saving templates always RightClick/ObjectsList - CTRL-Shift-End-Delete to remove all chart objects entries before saving template. This prevents objects from one chart overlaying those on another.
Paul
I also use EasyOrder and the EasyScaling Scripts.
To add another hint- If you happen to use iExposure Tickets, which I do,
Set your trades as Paul and Jem have instructed with EasoOrder then close the EasyOrder window. You can modify tp or sl by dragging with Empty4 and the sl and tp update automatically on iExposure Tickets, adjusting your exposure risk etc.
On my setup anyway.
thanks again Jem!

Closed at breakeven. H1 didn't follow through, M15 CSS looking bullish.Jemook wrote:I got in a bit earlier using M15 CSS colour change. Hi Bshoe24bshoe24 wrote:Thanks Jem for sharing this. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions to reduce the CPU usage? I tried this on two different machines (Cowboy Cowboy IBFX) and it's basically not runable with lots of pairs for me.
I had this problem and solved it using a combination of reducing both the "look-back" bars in the indicators, and also the NUMBER of pairs I scan for trades.
I have created screen-grabs below to explain how to reduce the number of bars in:
10.4 and 10.5 pivots ... reduce to 100 bars in the Input folder
10.5 1H RSI 2 ............ reduce to 100 bars in the Input folder
10.4 4H RSI 2 ............ reduce to 100 bars in the Input folder
10.5 CurrencySlopeStrength1.0.7d ... reduce to 50 bars in the Input folder
I find that reducing the number of bars visible in these indicators does not affect my analysis.
Once you change these settings for ALL the pairs you look at, see what it does to CPU.
In my case it vastly sped up the loading of my charts (and thus the time to flick between them).
But I was still unhappy with the time it took to update data, so I culled all the pairs I never seriously consider trading. This included ALL CHF pairs ... ALL CAD pairs ... and all NZD pairs except two.
My final line up is:
AUDJPY ... AUDUSD ... EURAUD
EURJPY ... EURUSD ... GBPJPY
GBPNZD ... GBPUSD ... USDJPY ... NZDJPY
I do not personally trade more than TWO pairs at one time. I more than have my hands full managing them, but my style is different, and I will not go off-topic about it here.
Finally, when I first open my trading platform, I flick each chart through from 4H to 1H ... then after f few minutes I flick back to 4H. This u[pdates most of the data for these TF, as well as ensuring the CSS is visible in all TF I follow.
The first screen grab is my desktop, so you can see the immense job the CPU has to handle. It is not really necessary to have more than a handful of charts loaded - very hard to scan and trade with all of them - particularly when trying to keep DD to minimum level.
Hope this helps
Ivan
EDIT: You could also go to the top toolbar on your Empty4 platform, and reduce the number of bars visible on charts/history. Go to TOOLS/OPTIONS/CHARTS ... and change:
Max Bars in History to 6000
Max bars in Chart to 2000
This might tip the balance as well in favour of lightening CPU load.
Further ... in tools/options/charts, uncheck the box that says: "Save deleted charts to reopen"
That may not make much difference either, but again, it lightens the load

Hi Jemook.
As stated prevoiusly I got totally confused with all the indicators and trying to get them to work.
Are all the indicators necessary in your post there?
If so I will start again.
What is so special about the system?
I have used a couple including TMS which I am sure you are aware of ( ForexFactory )
In accuracy etc for someone with some knowledge ( 9 months trying things, learning PA etc etc ) is this system better and why?
Look forward to hearing what people have to say - paticularlky in view of the rave reviews.
Cheers
Andy

Very nice, uncluttered summary of actual trading with 10.4/5 H1 !
But I always seem to miss: How does one identify potential pairs? Do you use some kind of Dashboard, or just do visual scans periodically on all the standard 28 pairs (must be time consuming this way.)
The only CSS based Dash that I see available is Tommm's, around page 50 of NB10.4/10.5 trading thread; and right now this Dash is pretty CPU intensive.
Cheers,
Athar.
One way you could find potential pairs to trade is to put the CSS on an hour chart. I use usd/jpy. Expand the CSS so that you have only that on view and change the settings to show all pairs, add a 0 line for the middle and you got a pretty good gauge of what is in flavour and what not to touch.
