How to Trade 10.x Like a Boss

Jem,

Very nice, uncluttered summary of actual trading with 10.4/5 H1 !

But I always seem to miss: How does one identify potential pairs? Do you use some kind of Dashboard, or just do visual scans periodically on all the standard 28 pairs (must be time consuming this way.)

The only CSS based Dash that I see available is Tommm's, around page 50 of NB10.4/10.5 trading thread; and right now this Dash is pretty CPU intensive.

One way you could find potential pairs to trade is to put the CSS on an hour chart. I use usd/jpy. Expand the CSS so that you have only that on view and change the settings to show all pairs, add a 0 line for the middle and you got a pretty good gauge of what is in flavour and what not to touch.

Regarding : "somethings definitely happening in the background when it slows up the way it is...in the stage it is in" (maybe the silence before storm...)
What is happening now, most probably will be a reversal of trends for many pairs, AUD for example is long due and some others too. They are at weekly support or resistance.

Not to be picky, but the Css in the UsdCad image is different from mine, though we are on the same broker with same feed. Rather FXCM has an identical Css match. Any comments Jem !

Hi Matt, we are on holiday here in Greece. I love Crete especially Hania area. My favorite beach is Falasarna where we brought a cooler with food and 5 liter wine jug. Love the beach and I think it is one of the best in Europe. Can't get wifi at the beach though

Thanks for the system. One issue I am experiencing is that most times when I open my Empty4, the CCS does not show. For example, this morning, when I opened it, it did not show. I have closed and reopened it a few times but still no joy! Thanks

Change your charts timeframe and change it back. Then you will see CSS.

I have the same trouble and encountered also the solution changing the timeframe. But that should be only a workaround :

Closed that USDCAD short.. Total for the day +2% or 515 pips. DD = sweat and if you're sweating, you're doing it wrong

Hi there and may I say welcome to our part of the world

I hope you guys are enjoying yourselves. Falasarna is a great beach (probably my favorite). but you can also try the nearby beaches of (a) Elafonissi and (b) Kedrodasos. Mind you kedrodasos requires you to walk for 15-20 mins in a dirtroad, therefore avoid it if you have kids.

Sorry to hear about the wifi problem. Free WIFI I suppose is a luxury in this part of the island. I would suspect that taverna's nearby or hotels should offer free wifi.

Thanks Matt... I have been to them all as we have relatives in Hania... I have been also to Souda Bay base as well. We actually own a house in Akrotiri near Souda but we live in Estonia in the winter...

On a forex note - JPY really has gotten stronger as well as CHF. Usually this happens when some risks are viewed in the market. I am treading very cautiously even with my GBP/JPY trades... Wonder if some big event will happen before the weekend?

I think we are all in agreement that Jem has outlined a great strategy to use the H1 CSS to trade 10.4.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I wanted to point out that you can use the same charts to identify 10.4 CT trades where the pair retraces from the trend.

I have attached an example for the EurNzd showing an H1 chart.

Last night the CSS bar flipped green consistent with the 10.4 direction, and this would have triggered a long trade according to Jem's guidelines.

This morning, however, the CSS bar flipped red. At the same time, the RSI(2) for the H4 and H1 were both pinned low.

I have found that this is a great set up for a CT short. The key element is that both of the RSI2's have to be pinned. Obviously, the opposite for a long trade.

Any comments?
