Hi Guys/Gals,

Update in post one. The EA has been updated along with the instructions.

Thanks for updating, TCO.
But the bot still doesn't want to open trades for me. Previously it returned error 128, now it returns error 1 which is funny, because it literally means "no error".
As I can see in the experts tab when attempting to open the order it uses 4 digits, while the Alpari broker has 5 digits. Probably this causes the error. If you could add an automatic recognition and adjustment for a 5-digits broker, it would be great. Anyway I'm attaching the screen to illustrate the point.

Darnit Formatix, sorry for your issues. Would you please attach your set file and I will take a look. I'm in the U.S., but I will try to download the Alpari demo and see I can figure this out. I use a 5 digit broker, Cowboy IBFX US, so it should work for you. We will figure it out. Thanks-TCO.

Just an update, my trades that were opened since 07th Jun this month have been all closed based on the basket profit of 3%.
I'm running this EA on the following pairs:- AUDUSD,AUDJPY, USDCHF,NZDJPY,GBPUSD,EURUSD,EURCAD,GBPCAD.
So, the veriosn 1.2 EA is behaving as it should so far on my Alapri UK micro account.

Hic ck805, that is good to hear. I had 2 baskets close, one on my Ichimoku Demo and one on my 20/50 EMA demo. The MACD demo was very close this morning.

I"m surprised at the DD of 20% on your account. Was that with the current settings?

Well, a couple of hours later I have a whole bunch of errors. But one order was somehow opened.
Unfortunately it seems that the bot opened it against the trend. You can see on the pic that the D1 trend is up but the bot opened a sell order. So I think that I will currently stick to the third screen strategy EA. It works correctly with no errors.
Below I'm attaching a new screen and a set file.

Whew!, that is good to know. It looks like it is working well for you. I will get my trade explorer setup tonight on my Ichimoku Demo, 20/50 EMA Demo and MACD Demo. Thanks for the info. TCO.

Been keeping up with all the threads on FF - thanks a lot for your work. Would you say that your EA follows 3rd screen MACD method as given by 100pips if it is set to use MACD? If it does then it can trade either of his methods plus Ichimoku correct?

I was just thinking about improvements that could be made to the EA to filter out bad entries when we reach the end of a trend. I am quoting 100pips here who said the following in the 3rd screen thread: " I am a firm believer in Price Action @ Support / Resistance (PASR) especially when it comes to the larger time frames e.g. weekly & monthly. This helps me to identify potential trend reversals which will then in turn help me to make better trades on the D1" Not sure if you can add some code to check on what's happening at least weekly with PASR as a filter.....as to how to set it up and what settings and standards to use - maybe you have some ideas. Anyway just a thought.

Hi Telec, some others have asked about automating his discretionary approach to deactivating his EA when he feels the trend run is done based on PASR. I have not looked into coding this approach as of yet. Right now I'm just letting me EA close all trades on opposite signal, taking my lumps and hopefully catching the new trend and taking profits with the new trend. We will see. I just started 3 new demos, one for each trend method - 20/50 EMA, MACD (both 100PipsADay methods) and Ichimoku (a new one that I added).

Sounds good, I didn't realize you coded the EA to close on opposite signal - this in itself my help a lot in saving some pips and is a likely improvement to the original EA. I also will have demos running this coming week - thx
