Hi all
please have a look to Baluda CSS D1 indicator for the next week on each chart you trade Marylin. I have modify it a little (no extern parameters) so I can read it easily from my Windev/Empty4 version.
I like the idea to add some "Currency Slope against all other" to standard filter. After a first analyse, it seem that we can use it to filter bad trades and not good trades if :
-> Take SELL or BUY when Marylin detect it but only if :
1 - For SELL : CCS currency 2 is high and CCS currency 1 is low and converge together to 0.
2 - For BUY CCS currency 2 and CCS currency 1 are together and/or just crossing and diverge together from 0.
-> take added trades (instead of bad trade -> see €/$ graph) when trend is down and
CCS currency 1 and 1 have converged but have not crossed and diverged again ( 2013.03.25 )
Please analyse it in next weeks and also from past weeks you have Marylin trades.
Don't hesitate to ask more explanation and give idea !
thks a lot.
Philippe

Re: Macd Stochastic Fractal MA5/25 Daily Marylin
Hallo Phil, Niepce,
Lemme start off by saying: SUPER great work guys. This ranks among the best work in this forum (IMHO). Thanks for your time, patience and generousity. This is one of the few that have great LIVE-trading abilities.
I've just finished reading through the ENTIRE thread, and have started demos today.
@Phil
# Lemme say thanks for the patience and generosity you've shown. Do not let the 'slow interest' of Marylin get to you. Being a daily strategy, it requires a bulk more patience and mental grit than lower TF ones, so it's not going to work for everybody.
# Then there are those who've genuinely given it a shot, and it's just not yielding anything close to yours. It is a VERY APPARENT FACT that broker feeds affect EAs differently (not just this one). And then there is the ALL IMPORTANT TIMING (when to start running the EA). So as the Good Book says, "time and chance happen to all..."
My manual trading is a naked chart price-action method based on support/resistance (primarily on the D1, lowest=H4) using PA setups (e.g pinbars, engulfing bars, 2-bar reversals (aka RRTs)). So I know scenarios arise when equity can be way up, then shoot back down and you're taken out at BE or SL. So I use MPTM extensively, and I will test that as well with Marylin.
Demo details:
# Broker: AxiTrader, 1:400 leverage
# Setfiles: Niepce setfiles (auto-lot)
Pairs: AUDJPY, AUDUSD, CHFJPY, EURJPY, USDCHF, XAUUSD, EURUSD (D1 TF)
Version: 0.36 (has indi fix merged, so not putting S/R indi on chart)
1) 'Vanilla' demo (i.e, Marylin left to her own devices): http://www.myfxbook.com/members/dudest/ ... lla/611832
2) 'MPTM' demo (i.e, MPTM running the trade management): http://www.myfxbook.com/members/dudest/ ... ptm/611846
-> SL of 150pips
-> TP of 600pips
-> Jump stop every 150pips
-> Global order closure: 30% of balance
-> This will of course be tweaked in the course of time (just like in manual high TF trading)
@Phil: I know what you say about letting winners run (took notes as I read through the thread). I just want to see that for myself on my broker's feed, and whether having a trade manager can help. I must say I don't understand what all the params do
and exactly how the EA works, but I will do my best to give you valuable feedback (and not just complaints
)
Once again!, thanks for super work guys
, here goes everything!
Cheers

Re: Macd Stochastic Fractal MA5/25 Daily Marylin
First update:
1st trade was taken as soon as I setup the charts: AUDUSD BUY
[ On manual trading, I have been long the AUDUSD from key 0.9400 level. Have already taken partial profit, and rest of the position is at BE++ trailing manually using candles and S/R zones ]
Cheers

Re: Macd Stochastic Fractal MA5/25 Daily Marylin
Hallo Phil,
First question:
#PERIOD_FRACTAL=PERIOD_D1; Period for fractal calculation
PERIOD_FRACTAL=1440
#PERIOD_RSI=PERIOD_W1; RSI period
PERIOD_RSI=10080
For a broker having 5 D1 bars per week, PERIOD_W1 should be 1440 x 5 = 7200, right?
Cheers
