One thought i have been having is since the best option is to run on multiple pairs would it be possible to make a multipair trader with built in DFTD features.

You can actually have DFTD manage all currencies from chart, just turn off DFTDMatchCurrencyPair. There would be a bit of competition to close all the trades, but with the semaphore it shouldn't matter.

I never noticed that doh! So if we enabled this on one pair but turned off DFTDMatchCurrencyPair we could get it to get for a total account pip gain/loss or trail the equity using DFTDUseTightTS and DFTDUseEquity?

If this is the case then you have written an even more brilliant piece of code than i first thought and i cant believe i didnt try that out first!

We would want it to run with DFTDMatchCurrencyPair off on all pairs, since each EA does it's own trailing stop. And the trailing stop isn't clever, it just turns on the trailing stop option and lets the existing code handle it.

You could try a sliding atr take profit. Every time time you pass the initial atr tp, you can increment the next zone by a full point (ie, atr x1, x2, x3) or a half point (atr x1.5,x2,x2.5). at any tp you pass, just trigger a sell at an attempted retrace back through the zone.

Anyone see the deliberate mistake in attached?

All other 18 charts are correct but these too are not calculating trend correctly. Is this a bug in code or Empty4? I'll let you know.

Currently up 370pips and 8.5% account balance with 10 trades open on H4 charts!


Edit: Turns out i think the EA got in an endless loop when trying to place trade in night. But there is no reason for it to get stuck as after 10 retries it should just give up! I think this may be an issue with running so many pairs on one Empty4. Please check your charts if there is a problem remove EA and re add.

A multipair EA would stop all these trade issues as we would only be sending one trade at a time before calculating if next pair is valid. Hmmm.

I've been watching my equity curve bounce araound and i think this EA has legs if we can control when to take profits. Attached is my current snapshot of account balance and equity, as you can seen the equity rockets up and then drops abit then goes up and then falls. Now there are various options to play with but what about using MPTM as a basket trader. Then using either a fixed TP, or %balance TP, maybe add basket JS.

Anyone of you experienced basket traders have any suggestions? Once again this is for H4 charts.

Hi,

since the newest version I get error 4109: trade is not allowed in the expert properties, it happens every order it's trying to buy or sell.

I use all on default settings except:
- still use Synergy candle sticks indicator
- lot size 0.1 because thats the broker's limit
- max lot and max.lot to 3.2

Also tried 100% default settings, gives same error. Anyone familiar with this problem? broker is FXOpen (demo).

if you go into expert proprieies and check "allow trade" you resolve the problem.

How about using jivas bbands stop code to lock in profits? Here's an example alongside your ea. the last trade i took on H1 went way up, and then tanked back down even with candlestick trailing, close on color change, etc. But if we had bbands as in the pic, the stop would have followed the ma curve all the way up to the pivot point and held my tp there.
