Even if you never use EAs, is worth keeping always running in another Empty4 the latest version of Mrlong´s 10.4 EA.

This is a small piece of art where you can see at a glance the status of CSS, CSS 1H, RSI, direction, etc.. better than in any other dashboard. Perfect for goldenrod hunters.

It does not replace the information page, (which gives you a more visual intuition), but it helps you to spot quickly the pairs that meet the system requirements and gives very good suggestions for manual trading.

Andy made an impressive job here.

Today MrLong posted a zip with an exe file inside that installs the last version of the EA very easily. Once you have installed it, you just attach de EA to a blank template and it is ready. The dashboard is part of the EA. Use it in a demo account. After CSS came into play the EA takes very little number of trades for week. If you want to make it more active set RSI use to false. I use the EA just to profit the dashboard and for steal some ideas for manual trading that I copy into my live account.

FXCM freezing up all day, 'they are experiencing problems' when I entered chat.
I must say i have never had a problem before, but you realize how much you depend on this stuff when you don't have it. does anyone run a back up platform?

FXCM recently experienced tech issues that affected our Empty4 clients. Some traders were unable to log into Empty4 while others may have experienced freezing as you described. If you had a live trade that was negatively impacted by these tech issues, please note the rate at which you tried to exit the trade and submit an audit. The audit forms can be found below.

Jason, as I get glued to the screen when I have trades on I was just catching up with this thread, thank you very much for the response, I was not exposed on your platform during the 'freezing' periods. As I mentioned I have had no prior issues with FXCM, I thought I was lucky in choosing you out of the myriad platforms out there after I read the various horror stories. Who are you by the way and what do you do?
Great to have you anyway, if I may ask one technical question, I have a solid state laptop en route with bells and whistles, a few here have set up secondary accounts/platforms to run the INFO page as it is accused of chewing up the processor, if I do that with FXCM and its not a live account will it expire periodically.
Again, great platform, I took today off but it looked like it was still a bit 'crunchy' last night, I just noticed the Kb counter in the bottom right corner, it still isn't ramping up very quickly.

Just wanted to say I love FXCM UK's Empty4 demo.
It's perfectly stable even under the heaviest market action and has a very wide range of currency pairs and other CFDs/commodities.

And I love that it is GMT+0.

AxiTrader Australia had a 25min outage on Monday, followed by a 14 min outage on Tuesday.

There was no explanation other than "it was a tech issue."
Yeah ... both days!

This was on their live platform.

Maybe this is the new "plug-in" fix-it weapon against successful traders.

Maybe we need a thread where we can click on our platform journals, and notify the forum of any outages for any broker we may be using.

I have opened a GP demo, and told AxiTrader that I have done this.

Next step is to fund it.
Final step is to send AxiTrader a "Dear John ..." letter, and get funds returned.

Totally agree with you guys. I'm a succesfull 100% manual 10.4/5 trader, in fact I hate EA's. Just seems apealing to have a look at a dashboard besides the Info Page.
