By all means, start a new thread if anyone wants to introduce new things.

10.4 is the culmination of countless hours of hard work by Bob, let's not spoil it by introducing new indicators. Otherwise, this thread will end up like many others, all muddled up and going nowhere.

So so true. Been down the long road of adding indicators to "assist" my decision-making until my charts looked like the picture below . As someone mentioned earlier, Forex Factory is a case in point. So many simple and promising strategies ended up (a few hundred pages later) as unrecognizable from the original intention of the author and too confusing to trade successfully. That is one reason I am so glad that Steve started his own website - threads remain focussed and thread-destroyers (never really understood those creatures which FF seem to spawn ) are quiclkly dealt with. I'm not saying that innovation is a bad thing but, as FX8000 points out, keep it in a sub-thread. My two cents...........

Quick question,

While waiting for a pair to go goldenrod after confirming a good 240 trend and RSI pin, is it essential that the RSI stay pinned at the time of entry or pending to be good? For instance, I've seen a few short setups where the RSI has started to fall after being pinned previously, so I wasn't sure if that invalidated the trade. If not, how far could you let the RSI wander before saying 'no trade'. I'm assuming it's ultimately discretionary or nuanced but I wanted to ask anyway.

RSI 2 is nothing more than a signal to trade. Once it gives a signal you then look for an entrance. No such thing as invalidating a trade. There was nothing written in the books to even suggest not trading if it is no longer pinned. Once it pins you then look for a good entrance or ignore it.
