Hi Steve:
Thank you and all the coders for the efforts on developing the CSS H1 Colour Change script.
Please let me share my user feedback of my testing:
-Jemook rules says: "Wait for H1 CSS to change colour from red to grey(goldenrod) or green and enter long."
-Your logic for the script at post 1 says: "sends a buy trade when the market is above the MA and the CSS bars change from brown(red)/goldenrod to green.".
So there is a difference. Jemook method, for buys, sends the trade when CSS changes from red to goldenrod or green and the script only after the change to green. Would it be possible to include an option in the script in order to choose the trade trigger (goldenrod and green OR only green for buys)?. I could minimize this by lowering the CSS threshold, but it would give more false signals.
-The closures have worked pretty well, but not all the openings. Sometimes the trades are sent a couple of candles later. I have carefully set the script's and my chart's CSS threshold to 2.5. Then I realised that the 10.5 CSS1.0.7d for automation as default has the threshold of 3.0. Maybe the script is only taking this one into account?. Only a thought, I really dont know, but when I change the CSS in the chart to 3.0, it matches with the opening of the trade even if the script CSS threshold is set to 2.5.
Cheers

I have added a new manager to post 1. Please read Jem's CSS trade manager.mq4.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Has anyone tried to make an EA just based on the CSS? For example - say the CSS is gold and it turns green buy - when it turns gold close trade. Make the 240 MA optional - it might be better if you trade in accordance with the above/below rule - or not... my guess is you will get a lot of small losing trades, but the times when the green or red stays in place for a while might overcome those small losses? Just curious....

Re: Useful 10.x thingies by Steve and Others
I would still like to use this EA but it doesn't work on the 610 Empty4 I am now using. Can someone please advise whereabouts I might find some help.
Thankyou.
EDIT: I don't know anything about code but I managed to fix a few using a post from another thread on this forum, now I am left with three errors all the same "not all control paths return a value Jem%27s CSS trade manager.mq4 107 1"
This is the loop (or whatever it is called) with the error:
int init()
{
factor = PFactor(Symbol());
while (IsConnected()==false)
{
Comment("Waiting for Empty4 connection...");
Sleep(1000);
}//while (IsConnected()==false)
Gap="";
if (DisplayGapSize >0)
{
for (int cc=0; cc< DisplayGapSize; cc++)
{
Gap = StringConcatenate(Gap, " ");
}
}//if (DisplayGapSize >0)
TimeFrame = GetTimeFrame();
start();
}
I feel like it is a quick fix so if someone wants to let me know what I have to manipulate that would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Jake

Those are not errors Jake, they are warnings. Learn to ignore them and save yourself a lot of work. Errors stop the code compiling. Warnings do not.red0nk » Mon Mar 17, 2014 6:17 am wrote:I would still like to use this EA but it doesn't work on the 610 Empty4 I am now using.
