How to Trade 10.x Like a Boss

Don't forget I'm still getting used to trading this system I've only been trading it for just over a month now. I've actually been looking forward to getting into a bit of DD because no system goes up in a straight line and I need a string of losses to see where the faults may life.

One thing I've dropped in these market condition is the WP cross. Traditionally the WP cross with 240MA has been a setup, but that only works in a good trending market, it's a killer when the markets are ranging, because you'll get tagged put there's no momentum in price to carry the trade. I know because this is one of the things that I took a hit on. The other is more inclusion of the CSS Info H4. In fact I've added the 10.5 CurrencySlopeStrength 1.0.5 (ignore future, 100 bars, show only pairs on chart) to each chart to ensure that I only place a trade when the lines are moving in opposite directions. Again, this would have kept me out of a lot of losers. Anyway, basically when conditions are like this, you need to take the foot of the peddle. If forex is like shore fishing then right now the tides out!!

Actually this is an inherent weakness of pivots, that is why only a bounce off a pivot is considered a good entry. Crossing of a pivot, especially in a ranging market is quite dangerous, it depends on where price was before it crossed the pivot.

I've seen many cases where price was say 20 to 30 pips above the pivots, went down, crossed the pivots, and then it decided to turn around, that is the reason why i always use MPTM to BE+ my trades and then jumping stop to move the BE every 30 pips.

This also means that pivots are a GOOD place for TP when you are AFK

You need to put the indi (10.5 CurrencySlopeStrength1.0.7d for automation.mq4) in experts\indicators, then either compile it or restart Empty4.

Thanks SWG123, I totally missed putting that indi into my indi folder. However after doing that, I am now getting this error on my experts tab, do you know of a fix for this?

Thanks again SWG123 for taking the time to respond to my query. The script did take a trade on the cadjpy pair, opened it fine and placed a sl @ the 960 ma and a tp @ ws2 and says it is managing an open trade, so despite the above error it appears to be working fine, so all is ok. If you or another happen to know what that error means, I would appreciate you letting me know, just so I can understand what it means and for others to know as well, if ever they have that error in their experts .

edit: I did a google search on: unknown subwindow number-1 for ObjectCreate function, while the script: 10.5 H1 CSS colour change order works fine, with above error, the problem is that it fills up your log file with the errors, and when large enough could crash your Empty4 platform. Do any coders here have a fix for this?

I'm not a coder, but if you just delete the logs, from time to time, when they grow to much, it will be fine.

I totally concur with Kwanann for his last couple posts. 10.4/5 is a trend following system, so what's wrong?
The markets are currently ranging, so it's not a 10.X game for now.
Don't wait for your fixed tp to get hit, like you would try to prevent your fixed sl being hit, ... chase you tp's in such markets.
But in the coming new week, i feel very strongly that 10.x is going to have a blast. Hope today's the last day of this ranging series.
