Sell GBPNZD by 10.5 SR mod rules.

CSS INFO NZD strong, GBP weak.

Buy AUDCHF when 10.5 SR mod conditions met.

Price above 240ma, stoch OS, pending order at sup_hi.
This pair is not travelling well today because of bad economic data from China this a.m.

CSS INFO NZD strong, GBP weak.

I was trading H1 and using H4 CSS INFO which was wrong.

H1 CSS INFO showed GBP stronger than NZD, so should have been buying GBPNZD instead of selling.

Also, AUD is weaker than CHF, so should have sold AUDCHF instead of buying. I closed my trade at today's previous high, so still made some profit.

So, before buying AUDCHF, please make sure AUD is stronger than CHF on the TF one is trading.

THE USD WEAKENED SIGNIFICANTLY AFTER FOMC MINUTES WHEN B BERNANKY STATED THAT US INTEREST RATES WILL STAY LOW FOR THE FORESEABLE FUTURE.

GU, EU, AU AND NU ALL RALLIED.

SOME WHO LEFT THEIR TRADES OPEN DURING THE HIGH IMPACT NEWS WONDERED WHY THEY LOST MONEY. GUESS THEY NEED TO LEARN IT THE HARD WAY.

UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO INTERPRET FUNDAMENTAL NEWS, BEST TO STAND ASIDE.

FUNDAMENTAL NEWS DO NOT RESPECT INDICATORS, TREND LINES, MA, ETC

THE DOW RALLIED ON THE PROSPECT OF MORE CHEAP MONEY.

Trading conditions have been quite challenging during this past week with many pairs hovering around 240ma.

However, if you stick to 10.5 SR rules, there were a few successful trades to be had.

10.5 SR trades only uses stochastics and ignore the RSI. But the presence of a S/R zone is absolutely essential.

There were far fewer 10.4 SR setups during the week.

I note a few people downloaded the 10.5 SR trader template posted earlier. Hope you managed to capture some pips during the week.

fx8000 wrote:The Multi 10.4 trader mod failed miserably today because of the 240ma filter.

I have replaced it with a 60 LWMA filter.

Code: Select all

 //+------------------------------------------------------------------+
// 60 MA Settings
//+------------------------------------------------------------------+
extern string sli = "----Stop loss----";
extern string mai = "--Moving average--";

extern int    MaTF           = 240;
extern int    MaPeriod       = 60;
extern int MaShift = 0; //The MA Shift input
extern string mame           = "Method: 0=sma; 1=ema; 2=smma;  3=lwma";
extern int    MaMethod       = 3;
extern string maap           = "Applied price: 0=Close; 1=Open; 2=High";
extern string maap1          = "3=Low; 4=Median; 5=Typical; 6=Weighted";
extern int    MaAppliedPrice = 1;
extern string sci            = "--Scale-in options--";
NOT MAKING ANY HEAD WAY WITH ALL MY MOD VERSIONS OF 10.4 TRADER.

SO, GIVING IT A REST TILL THE AUTUMN.

Thank you very much for your comments.

You are absolutely correct.

Waiting for the autumn to see if the market fits the system.

I am a firm believer in reviewing the charts at the NY CLOSE each day and using an ea that fits the conditions at the time for the following day.

A multi trader makes this difficult, so I have used Steve's 10.5 order script and incorporate it into his bare bones ea, and made an individual 10.5 ea trader, without the CSS filter. When I have time, I will try this on demo.

NO INDIVIDUAL EA WILL WORK UNDER ALL CONDITIONS. TRENDING EA FOR TRENDING CONDITIONS, AND RANGING EA FOR RANGING CONDITIONS.

The Aussie and Kiwi pairs are the ones that continue to produce the goods.

Will be focussing on these two pairs this coming week.

Still focussing on 10.5 SR setups. No setups, no trade.

Will the person who had downloaded the ea earlier, please do so again. My apologies. There was a bug in the original ea.
