Hi all, :D
Have started to update all the demos, completed the live already and decided to keep the old setups for data value.
If the name of the demo has 'XXXXX' in front, then its been stopped or one of the old versions of autoupdate that dont work no more. If the demo was stopped for whatever reason, i will highlight in capital letters the main reason for ending the test in the name section.

i will leave all info and notes accessible on the old ones and try to be as clear as possible. New posts in relevant threads will be added once i get this all done and evaluated.

I'm looking to focus on HDBM, Marylin, Xmeter, TCO, Crossfader and one or two on various other EA's like JL's 'flavours'.
10.4/5 from TIB will form the basis of all manual trading along with SLowkeys intra-day manual trading method, derived from slowkeys experience and Neotraders Indis. Also a selection of Paul's (Baluda) indicators, are all very valuable in my manual template.

kind regards and happy trading to all.
cuz.

Thank you for this great topic.

However, am I right to think that you are not being really successful with EAs that can be found on this forum?

peeper,
i'm slowly getting to re-set the demos to update. You will see there are many successfull demos and also some that have blown.
Its all about the effort you put into them.
Its very difficult, if not impossible to follow so many demos and accurately help with development from my side. My demos run almost completely on their own. This is not the way i assume you would like to run your live accounts, but i do this for demonstration and for the understanding of how an EA works. After a certain time, i will change parameters making notes in the general tab.
I am working on a post for the more successfull EA's , and will post soon. I suggest you pick one you like or understand after reading their respective post 1's, then looking up demos from other users to try and see how the EA's have performed. After that, you need to fully understand how the EA's work before going live. Take your time, dont rush. You will never find a set and forget EA.
Trends and circumstances change daily depending on TF.

As you can see form the live accounts, they are all updating now , i use the xmeter v2.1 may26 version on all my live accounts. This requires manual intervention and understanding of several factors.
There are others i plan to add on live accounts, seperately, so saving up some dosh for that. Will elaborate when i'm sure of direction and settings for that point in time.

regards and good luck.
cuz

Thank you for your answer.
I don't think it is impossible to find set and forget EAs out there. As a matter of fact, I think that great EAs are sophisticated enough to take care of themselves.

But I look forward to you soon to come post, and will look more into the ones I'm interested in, as you suggested.

Hi all,
right in the middle of swapping all the demos over and it looks like 'autoupdate' has disappeared again. Hope it wont be long before its back again.

The reason why i insist on sticking to autoupdate method is because with out the comments tab its almost impossible for you guys to understand what the EA is trying to do. I know when i lookup some other demos from other users, i battle to figure out whats going on with-out the comments tab. I only understand when i have a very good, and long trading history with a particular EA. Hope you all understand. Will continue when its available again and will start to prepare the update posts here and in relevent threads in the mean time.
FInished two systems, 3 to go.
hope your trading is successfull, keeping us safe and out of mischief. :D
regards
cuz

Hi all,

Still waiting for autoupdate to work again, but regardless, going ahead with setting up with their EA from today. I know the publisher method does not show the comments and thats what i really want to show on the demos.
Got some time to finish SOME of the xmeters and from one of the systems i can safely add the following as successfull. FP9, NoLimits V3.4 and Speed v5.
The rest of the xmeters i'm dropping, including the (R)Evo1 and Evo1, except for 2 terminals on the classic 2.3.7 using the indis and xM Evo10. I am also dropping the special leglac and evo 2.1 as the new evo10 can do all that is needed albeit there are some changes needed to the EA which i will ask JL to look into if possible, and if practical, in the xmeter thread. The Grid factor setting does not make a difference so its not necessary, just increasing the initial grid size does the same i suppose.

I will include some of the older xmeters in a seperate post that have also continued to do very well, along with set files and some thoughts on what to do with the settings.

HDBM kicked ass last week for me and i closed out on all open trades manually on friday , late afternoon my time. All in profit. Positions were all on trig 1 and taken as they were supposed to. Had some close out after news by the EA, so thats a good sign that the EA responds and cuts off pairs that look like they going wrong.
9 terminals running with OOTB except for TP and SL changed to 300, 200 and 100 on each version. Jury still out to see which will be better. WIll again post in Bunkers test lab thread with some result pics. Dropping v001 and v002 because of the recurring problem that Rene says has been fixed in v003. Looking out to see if it happens again, otherwise looks like a world-class EA and seriously considering for next live.

Still playing with Marylin, had good positions and all taken as it should have but news knocked me off. CLosed all profitable trades manually late Friday also. Very well explained post 1 so going to look into changing some of the terminals with some TF changes, maybe some of the params, but will elaborate, when and why, i make the changes in thread.

TCO look s like its going to be a great EA, still new so not much to add except that its doing very well. STill checking settings. Well explained so should be easy to catch-on. Many thanks to TallCoolOne for bringing this over in his own thread here.

10.4 took a hiding this week, some bad positions so might have to re-look at thread and remove some of the older EA's. Frank is really doing well on this one so need to catch up on what he has seen about the EA. Kwanaans version took a fist few losers, and then a few nice winners towards the end of the week. Need to get some more info and time in front of these EA's.

Crossfader took just a few trades this week so also need to catch up on the newer version as i'm a little overwhelmed with VM's progress there. I believe his logic is powerfull in theory, lets see how it comes out from the EA. Watching Dudest and VM in thread and following to see how they direct the EA. Very greatfull to be able to watch VM's evolution there. Older Crossfaders also doing okay are the 6.24 and one other i cant recall now. WIll post the set files and results as i'm doing for xmeters.

JL's flavours really did well, Mastermind v1, Sunrise v4,v6 and v7, Pygmalion v3. Lion King v4 is doing well but hanging in by a thread because i had the lot size at 0.05. Changed now to 0.01 to see from now how it performs. Last week closed many of its trades and the DD was really big from lot sizes, my fault for the 0.05.

Macarena v2 also does well,(EDIT, MACARENA V2 on ON 15M EURUSD, GBPUSD,USDCHF and USDJPY, Too slow on just one chart, ran into high DD, not problem so much with lot sizes) but the lots sizes are far too big eventually even at 0.01 starting size in params. Same problem with Tiffany v3 and Amapola v1 for me. They all doing okay to well, but large accounts i'm using and sometimes massive lot sizes are the biggest spoilers, so will be dropping these for that reason. Even with 0.01 lot size setting in params. Lion King was the only one that was on 0.05 so i'm on the wall about this one. AGT seems to be holding on to it so will continue with 0.01 lot size. 5M TF's for LK.

MetaNeuaral has also not increased or decreased much, even after altering the TF to 4HR in the code. 1Hr and 4Hr are eventually the same. Also played with params extensively here but same results at the end of the day as OOTB. Was able to pick one or two nice manual winners so that brought the account up nicely, but going to end off here. Dave might update if he sees something that can help, and will gladly test this again. I really cant add anything more here, or suggest anything. The EA has a string of great winners, and then follows up with a round of losers straight after that.

FR from DC behaves nicely until it catches a big loser. Lots of $20-$40 winners and then Wham , a big loser or two comes around $200 or $300 big. Carrying on and waiting for DC's update as v10 does not take any recovery positions as tested and posted by others too. Both terminals, one OOTB and the other with out JPY, AUD, and CAD similar to Wapen, are both performing with similar results.

Hope this info is helpfull and wish all safe trading,
regards
cuz

Nice update on your forward tests!!

I see on your myfxbook also quite some Real forward test. I noticed there were some quite big accounts on Markets and GlobalPrime. ( http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... -21/625525 )
I gues these are cents accounts? I was looking for a broker with good cents accounts as well but couldn't find on their (Markets and GP) site that they offer cents accounts with 0.01 lots. Do you specially request them or am I overlooking something?

Hi TFL,
the accounts are regular accts, i'm not familiar with cent accounts, but if you mean 0.01 lot size capable, then yes, any good broker should offer micro lots. The live acct you quoted was set up to run my version of xmeter i had posted, ran into some difficulty with it, so as you can see, just working out of the dd for now. Leverage there is 1:200, standard accts are 1:100, but you can ask for whatever leverage you want, just be aware of the risks.

Jeremy is a very friendly and helpfull guy, and along with his co-workers, they will be very happy to set you up on demo first. What you can request is the leverage you prefer, and i suggest you practice on them first to understand the difference on the amount you plan to deposit. Just set your demos up and select the leverage and amount for the demo required.

Best broker so far is GP, sorry they werent around when i first started trading. Going to try move my other funds over as soon as i win it back from the crappy brokers, 8-)

kind regards and enjoy the demos. Still getting to 'fix' them all after the debacle they've had recently with the autoupdate feature, but i think i'm going to stick to their EA method anyways, AGT is very happy with that method and he hasnt had the problem i've had with autoupdate all along. Ask if you not sure about something.

Thank you very much for the quick reply!

I'll have a look at GP and open a demo account over there and run an EA on that.

Hi All,
been a while since i updated this thread. Please excuse my absence, i really had a lot to take care of although i left most demo's in place and running un-attended. There are some new EA's added, like ziggy bolly and Baluda's new EA, but more on that when i get to those systems.

Jeremy has now started testing their new Demo Server over at Global Prime, so i'm going to have to start winding down those GP demo accounts with the '.G' prefix and start up fresh with the new demo, once roll-out starts. I'll be leaving the old demos on my FXBOOK account for anyone who wishes to look up some history from any relevant EA on those demos. I understand all history should still remain on my fxbook account. After a few months, i'll delete those to make it easier to look up an EA.

There are five systems in place, and demos are all labelled at the end of the names, corresponding to which system is running the forward test. I've decided to report back here in seperate posts for each system. Its become very difficult to monitor across the 5 PC's so i will start with the first PC which is usually completely left alone, except for using charts for trend spotting, and various indis i use. I usually dont interfere with this system, Lets call is system-1, 'f32' is the abreviation i use for this one at the end of the EA's demo name.

System - 1 (F32)
- First up is xMEvoptimus.Running on GPrime 202432. I had high hope for this one and really thought we would get a breakthrough at this point. After starting badly, this version has started to show signs of getting back nicely with smaller lot sizes. The account is a large 50k account and is running very well with 0.1 lots. Still need to leave this for longer to see more, so will probably carry this one over to new demos.
Here's the EA with set file and results from 10 July. The demo shows a loss as it started 24may with Evo1 that was there before, but from 10 July this EA has done very well since starting her up;
evoptimus from 10 july.rar
Heres the demo link
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... irs/522366

- second is xMFriday 13k. This demo was blown before and had a small $500 odd amount left , Started 11 July, not much to say here as there were very very few trades and not a good reference back to the current EA. WIll be stopping this and starting up a fresh demo with 5k soon. Look for other demos with xMFRI13k. Results were impressive for short demo, but very slow to trade.

Heres the link;
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... max/627520

- the next 3 demos xMfp9, Speed v5, and NoLimits3.4 are doing very well and i have posted their set files in JL's Revolution thread. Here they are again this time with the EA's and updated results.
no limits 3.4 only 50856723 from 6 march.rar

xm speed from 17th jan and v5 from 25th.rar

EDIT-NEW LINK- http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... 014/795216

This Speed v5 has been in profit for a long time and i dont see why it hasnt closed out the trades to move on to the next. I dont want to interfer with this EA so we can see what it eventually does. Otherwise i suspect manually closing the winning positions and letting the EA find new ones would be good for the EA.
Subsequent SRv6 version from JL was not successfull like v5, as were any other SR (Support Resistance) EA's i have tried.

And FP9 Lite by JL;
fp9 on ava 5102102 from 27th feb.rar
Demo Link;
EDIT-NEW LINK- http://www.myfxbook.com/members/Cuzgeor ... -jl/727861

Last but not least on this system is Forex Robot v10.02 by DC.
This one started off very very well, with out any losses, and then slowly some big losses would come by and knock out all the smaller wins it had amassed.
From what i read, there seemed to be a problem with v10.02 not taking out recovery positions. I only saw this happen once as per the pic below. The positions were losing but closed as winners for both.(GBPUSD). Ill be one of the users waiting for any developments from DC when he is done.
fr recover position.PNG
link;
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... 002/310942

The there are the blown accts for this system. Take a look at them and get an idea what i had done with the settings so we can learn what doesnt work; both xmeters.
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... all/560469
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/cuzgeor ... not/522368

Then, Jl has mentioned one of the older FullPips xmeters was probably one of the most successfull, but with much higher risk. I'm not sure which EA that is, but i have a few of my older favourites which you guys might like to play around with. They are much more aggressive and cannot be tamed as they are. I did run them successfully on live accounts but there was significant manual trading going on, until i blew the live accounts from over trading, *(manually).
Here is my collection of the old xmeters that i hang onto;
Special old xmeters.rar

Thats it for system-1, i'll be working on system- 2 which has far more demos running and have that up as soon as i'm done.

regards,
and trade safe.
