Only post .ex4 copyright material if you have permission from the owner of the copyright. If any of the stuff you have posted previously is subject to copyright, then I suggest you remove it so you do not get sued.

The why are you still posting decompiled code rather that actual source code?joswald wrote:The second point about copyrighted coding, I actually know Kor and I talked to him about it and he is quite happy for me to use his code, he actually requested I post it on his website http://www.tradingarsenal.com for him, so absolutely no drama's there. But you're absolutely right Steve, I didn't obtain permission before posting it on your site, I just got lost in the moment... my bad.
I am locking this this thread until I receive a satisfactory explanation. Do not start a new thread to get around this, because I shall delete it.
These boards are not to be used to publish pirate code. Any coder happy to have his code published will allow users to publish actual source, not decompiled stuff. Any coder will tell you that the difference between them is obvious.

Hey guys. I am happy now that publishing the indi code is indeed fine with Kor and so have unlocked this topic.

Re: 121 pattern with pull back continuation
After testing, I have changed some parameters on the pattern ensuring the patterns are symetrical and spaced accordingly in time. I'm now using the ABCD coding from korharmonics and so far it has improved the quality of signals. I have attached the indicator.
Thanks George, the arrows are a big help in back testing.
I've only started back testing tonight, so far with EURUSD 5M over the past 7 months it seems to be about 2:1 win/loss ratio with B = SL and C = TP. With around 35 trades in that period. Some of those losing trades can be trimmed further with minswing variable being changed.
Other testing, period last 13 months:
EURUSD 30M - 3W
USDCHF 30M - 4W
GBPUSD 30M - 3W 2L (Since May)
AUDUSD 30M - 2W 2L (Since May)
Testing was done with max dev. at .14 or the defaults on the indi.

Re: 121 pattern with pull back continuation
Try inserting this at the top of the start() procedure:mydone wrote:Guys if anyone can make an alarm for this indi - make it please.mydone wrote:Dear coders - please write an alert function for this indi. Please, please
Code: Select all
static datetime alerted;
if ((buysignal[0] != EMPTY_VALUE || sellsignal[0] != EMPTY_VALUE) && Time[0] != alerted) {
alerted = Time[0];
Alert(Symbol()," pattern detected.");
}
No promises, but it's a start.

unfortuanetelly there is no "start" string

I still don't know if it triggers on the current bar, previous bar, or bar 10 bars ago. Once you see one happen, and this doesn't trigger, try changing the code to look at buysignal[1] and sellsignal[1].Code: Select all
static datetime alerted; if ((buysignal[0] != EMPTY_VALUE || sellsignal[0] != EMPTY_VALUE) && Time[0] != alerted) { alerted = Time[0]; Alert(Symbol()," pattern detected."); }
No promises, but it's a start.

Yes, there is, or the indicator wouldn't do much. Are you looking at ABCDSlim.mq4? The full line is:mydone wrote:unfortuanetelly there is no "start" string
Code: Select all
void start() {
