You can do it on demo.

Go to "My Account"
Click the "Settings" tab.
Then "Preferences"
Click the box "Allow multiple Ticket Panels" under "Multiple Order Tickets"

That's basically what I did in the example above where I placed a limit order on the Gbp/Usd at 1.3075. That's your pending. On any instrument you can set the price at which you want to buy/sell. After the position is open you can do the same and place a pending to close.

You cannot however, place a pending order based on the movement of the underlying, just like regular equity options.

The key to binaries is to take a profit around 53 on buys and on sells to take a profit of 57. So you want to pay about 25 to 28 on a buys or sells so that you can achieve that profit. That way the binary does not have to move that far. All binaries will be where price is when they are around 47-53 . Holding binaries on the hopes of the 100.00 return is mostly a mistake unless the market has really moved. You can click on the green arrow and bring up the ticket and you get a sell ticket on the buy at current price. Change it to 53. Vise verse for sells. That is the safe way to play the binary.

Spyder I noticed some of your post on the apex forum. I think he is a little pricey. The best thing he has is the spread and binary scanners which are very nice. They were free at first and now he is charging 119.00 a month for the spread scanner. You can get it for 79.00 a month for just Forex. The binary is still free but how long I do not know. He does have a lot of free stuff like the videos and the deviations. Worth a basic membership but I trialed the software he uses to trade and was not impressed. Justin if you have not trialed the apex elite service it is worth it to look at the spread scanner. You will learn very quickly how ceiling and floor affect price. It automatically tell you how close you are to break even. Over all bull spreads are a little easier to start with than binary options. No matter what you choose to trade the key will always be time. The market needs to move in the time period you have chosen especially with binary options.

To answer if I have done well. No ... but I have not put a lot of money into it. I think I will do better at it. The biggest obstacle to success is time. I have to adjust my trading better to the time element of the binary or spread. You can be right but not right in the time you are given. I like the transparency of the exchange. I like trading on the exchange. The fairness. There is no broker here Justin. This is as transparent as the CBOT. There is a bid ask spread for the market makers but they have no idea who you are or whether you are winning or loosing. The exchange runs automatically. The exchange gets a 90 cent commission up to 9.00 where it is maxed no mater if you trade 10 or 100 contracts.

I am looking at these threads by Jperl on Traders Labratory to be a possible big help with directionality and trading Nadex.

Some indicators and a template below if you want to look at this.

I have on Demo hit 4 out of 5 of the binary options that I talked about in the preceding post using concepts from this thread. The 5th I have two hours left for it to move into profit. Will see. 8-)

Agreed Slowkey.

I was a member with Apex for awhile but didn't see the value. I'm always looking for a strategy to use for Nadex. I'll have to take a look at your link. Right now I'm having some success with the Spyder... ... What a coincidence

Hey Spyderman and Slowkey, thanks for all your suggestions and help on this topic. I just found this post and have been reading it. So I joined up to get in on this. Not too many sites talk about Nadex that I've found.

I to have a Nadex account, both demo and live. I to have used Apex and did also find them a little pricy for the results I was getting.

And I to am looking for a good consistent method for trading Nadex. I see nobody has posted lately.

I was wondering if anyone can update on this same topic or has any new information to help. I downloaded the indicators and template from slowkey but was wondering how you use it.

If there is any fire left in this post, please let me know. If not, I would appreciate direction for another discussion on this.

I to have a Nadex account, both demo and live. I to have used Apex and did also find them a little pricy for the results I was getting.

Had a few question about Hedging with Nadex spreads and Nadex in general
Let me explain:
1) Apex had a video showing how one can hedge a futures position ( the real marekt) with a Nadex spread ( instead of just using a stop loss on the Futures position .
Sounded great but what they don;t esplain is rate of change / Delta during the spread's life
In ordered to be perfectly hedged the spread has to move dollar to dollar with the futures position!
I asked the presenter of Apex this question but never got a proper answer back...
It is all good to promote something but one should explain the negative side also

Has anybody tried this?

2) Nadex is it a true exchange like CME etc? because it seems the main market maker and Nadex is owned by same company! IG?
So how can that be a true exchange without conflict of interest?
I understand as it's popularity grows there will be enough independent buyers and sellers and many market makers making it a true "Exchange"

3) Cost as an example ES contract, The Nadex is 1/5 orf the real ES so teh cost is not just 0.9 per side apples to apples it is $4.50 per side
4) For non US residents it is possible to open Futures accounts with FCMs no problem, so when Nadex declared that they will be available through fcm I thought that is great so I can use them but al these years have passed and NO FCM is offering that, Asked NAdex and all they say is ask your FCM!
weird

Dont get me wrong I think Nadex idea is great as compared to bucket shops overseas but the above things have made me uneasy
