Recommendation on daily FX reads - name your favourite

Post by blazko »

Hello folks!

Ive been wondering if youd like to share your favourite FX online news / commentary resources.

Personally i start my day by looking at zerohedge.com and babypips.com for commentaries and at myfxbook / ff calendar for events and market expectations. Iąm sure there is more and better to read :)

What are your routines?

Best regards,
cheers

I still check the news at FF, but the only commentary I read is from http://www.forexlive.com/. They make me smile and they are usually spot on.

I always keep an eye on Dailyfx realtime news. They provide important news, meeting results etc pretty fast. You will find many important news that are even not listed on FF. These guys will time to time post suggestions and theirs trades too. Don't listen to them as they pretty much suck at it lol :D

Only take the news, S/R levels. I am paying heavy price for taking a trade that one of their analysts recommended. Its a GU short, I usually cut my losses early and do short term trades. But he didn't only recommend it, when the position went to dd. he wrote an article "Why we should hold the position" because GBP is crap currency and even with FEDs not increasing interest till 2014, still USD is good to go. Now I don't trade fundamentals, I kinda hate it, and I am not that noob to trade on people's comment. But silly me, I decided to follow his lead on this one, and last time I checked, I am like 250 pips down !! So just ignore their prophecies, and keep an eye on the news. They do provide good news feed for free.

I love analysts. Translated, what they say is this: the pair might go up or it might go down.

Of course, they dress it up. "We see potential weakness here, although a market rally might cause problems for sellers. We envisage a break below x falling all the way to y, although rejection of support at z could easily cause a rally to b, followed by a further recovery to c and a testing of levels of resistance at d" where x,y,z,b,c,d represent prices picked off a chart by sticking a pin into it.

Good fun to write too. Should we all be setting up as 'analysts'. It is not hard to do, so long as you can master the dead tone of matter-of-fact commentary such as that above. This is not hard to do.

:D
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.
