2. Dewey - is Stoch period 300 the standard? Saw some people using 75?

Use 300 for a 15 min chart. 75 is for a different time frame

3. Not sure w/r this is a template issue, my issue or something else.... EA reading of Stoch and BB on Stoch is not right - see screenie - all read zero


4. I have no idea where the Daily Stats in screenshot come from - not mine....!

Can't answer about the readout or Daily stats, but the EA seems to be working fine on my charts.

5. Post 1 probably needs the zigzag (not "N") indicator used for template and when applying template, Stoch is not showing in sub-window, just BB - just for info

The ZigZagN shows the history because ZigZag repaints.

On another note, optimization is very slow and to make it worse, we had a brownout so wasted a few days and had to start all over from scratch. The neighbors were probably wondering about a loud scream they heard.

Sorry guys. I forgot that ZB is using a custom version of Stochastic. I am so used to dealing with the standard version that I did not think to attach the one we need. Download it from post 1 into your indi folder, shut down and restart the platform and the templates should display the Stoch & BB properly. If not, re-apply the template.

ZB might be worth looking at. Au usual, I developed the bot on my coding machine in our living room, an an M1 AUDUSD chart - then forgot about it, so it carried on doing its thing in the background. I do not remember the exact numbers, but winners out number losers and the overall result is a fair few pips profit.

So, this bot will gain the rare accolade of its own demo trading platform next week.

as per the first post, this bot is meant for a m15 EU chart - and you have had success running this on an m1 AU. is that just serendipitous, or is it supposed to be able to be used on different pairs and timeframes and that m15 EU is merely the best one?

I was coding on the M1 chart to see how ZZN behaved. Demo it as described in post 1.

mop spotted a bloop in ZB's code that was masked because the D and Slowing inputs are both 1 by default. As coded, ZB would have ignored any changes to the Slowing input. This is fixed in V 1a in post 1.

You do not need the update if you only plan testing ZB ootb - just remember that there is a fault in the code that you are using and update if you want to play with the Stochastic settings.

Those of you who can, save yourselves a re-download by going to void GetBollingerBandsOfStochastic()

Change both instances of:

StochVal[cc] = iCustom(NULL,0,"Stochastic",K,D,D,0,cc);

to:

StochVal[cc] = iCustom(NULL,0,"Stochastic",K,D,Slowing,0,cc);

then recompile.

Got my demo set up. M 15 EU as originally recommended. M1 on AU as accidentally found to be profitable.

I downloaded the latest indicators and ea but it seems I can't get it to trade. I have no errors in my experts log and everything looks fine, not sure what the problem is. It's been two days now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are all M1 trades - I started EU today. ZB is also loaded onto the intended EU M15, but no trades there.

I will experiment with a few more M1 charts and see what happens.

Nice results...I'm in a m15 eurusd trade at the moment, so hopefully patience will pay off. Keep us posted...
