Re: 10.4 A Complete System
Hi Guys,
mm strange what a holiday can do to the traders mind. Need some help on this to get back on the wagon or off it as the case may be.
Application of 10.4 4h trading evenings and early morning only ...and occasionally when not at work during the day --- mm perhaps there lies part of the problem. Note I have read Bob's description of his trading timetable e.g. fixed times and regular screen review...difficult
See 2 trades AUDNZD
1. expected short - failed with breakthrough of 240
2. expected long ..wait and see
I think the problem is (post holiday) I have come to the screen and ignored AO and taken RSI2 and 240 signals plus review of levels and being burnt.
Recommendations plus hope it also helps others doing my dirty laundry/washing
I am reading the last 20 post pages to catch up and can see system development from Bob that will address part of the above

I think you were buying at the DP but it happened to also be at WR1 which your new template would not have shown, but maybe that is not important to know with your new system....
The other question was that price was at the 30MA would that have prevented the trade or would you have made the 240 the SL or some other SL....but maybe I am jumping the gun a bit - I will await your new rules

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
eur/usd has been a bore for almost 6 weeks now. Slight upbeat trend but that is all. Been ranging. Long term fundamentals may come to play soon as refinance of Greek and Portugal debt is hitting the news again. That will drag the Euro down so I wouldnt put much into buy moves. I would think this fall that some Euro sell off could happen but not as much as the past. Greek refinance is getting to be old hat and should go more smoothly this time, along with Crete and Portugal. HOWEVER, if someone starts screaming and yelling about the constant refinancing of the debt on these countries then you could see some sharp DT on EURO pairs. I dont think that will happen this time but it is possible. I think Europe is sitting better to refinance now than they were in the past. In other words people are expecting this to happen now so it wont be such a big deal. So if you see Euro buys I would play them as short term and if there is a lot of screaming and yelling, especially from Germany then a Euro sell off is a good place to look. I would also look at the GBP to be drug down with it. AUD, NZD, and CAD with USD or JPY would go up with that kind of news coming out. Just some lame thoughts.rosst wrote:Thanks for the reply Bob,nanningbob wrote:I took the eur/usd buy at the DP but it went nowhere so I took the 3 pip loss and moved on.rosst wrote:yes - I was looking at the chart you posted...eurusd H4

What are your take on the so called tapering BOB?
It is obviously something that will affect USD denominated pairs a lot if it happens in september.

Bob...But not on the basis of a 10.4 logic with RSI2 or am I missing something. I have read your previous comments on 240 cross but I have not incorporated this when it is against RSI2 into my trading logic.nanningbob wrote:aud/nzd had a nice move up.Jonathan2FI wrote:Hi Guys,

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
I was just saying nice trade. AUD/NZD is a very ranging pair and fits better with range trading system as compared with 10.4 Not all trades have to be 10.4 trades. Here is a pic of the last 8 years of aud/nzd monthly chart. You will notice it goes up for 3-4 months then goes down for 3-4 months, then up for 3-4 months and then down for 3-4 months. Very ranging pair that retraces alot. I rarely trade it anymore but used to trade it alot when I was counter trading. Anyway it was a nice CT trade but yes it was not a 10.4 trade.Jonathan2FI wrote:Bob...But not on the basis of a 10.4 logic with RSI2 or am I missing something.
