two quick questions for you guys if you have an answer about Empty4 platform

1. When I start up Empty4 is there any way to set the account history so it shows the last month at startup. It keeps default to entire history and I always want to change it to the present week or present month. Is there anyway to change the default?

2. This only happens with my computer at work but when I use the trade analyzer program with Cowboy IBFX it wont open the chart. It gives me a webpage wont open. On all my other computers this is not a problem just my work computer. Driving me nuts. I tried installing a fresh copy of Empty4 but that didnt change it. There must be some setting for this but have no idea what it would be.

The second problem also includs this info;

No webpage was found for the web address: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Cowboy IBFX%20MT4/experts/files/Cowboy IBFX-Trades%20Analyzer%20Report.html
Error code: ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND

So for some reason the program is not depositing the info into this file so the browser is not opening it. I dont have this problem with any other computer and all of my computers use windows 7

I also have this problem, its something to do with the way the report works. as a workaround i just goto the folder and double click the html file

as for your #1 problem, you will need to delete the profiles and start all over again, something got corrupted along the way..

OK having fun with the gbp/aud. Love these xxx.00 I just finished my 3rd sell limit close. I put on the three trades, where they entered and where I could exit. I got 60 + on 2 and 50+ on the first one. Going for #4. I

But I am getting no report there. The only thing that works is if I have Internet explorer set as my main browser and then sometimes i will get it. I dont like using IE.

OK here is a 10.6 trade, price is above 240 line, below the daily pivot. STO7 just gave the signal the sto has cross up over the 20 line. I set my pending to enter just above the DP and set my TP near the blue line.I put my SL below the next blue line on the server. So my trade is set up. I also set a second trade above the next blue line in case we have a big move today. Here is what my entrance looks like

I went to my SL page and turned it on and decided my best move would be to use the 15MA on the 1H chart (purple line). So I put the 15MA close on the 1H chart turned on my EA and we will see what happens. It looks like this. Now I am covered no matter what happens.

I would not use the red 60 MA line because as soon as the trade entered it would close the trade being still above the entrance point. The black 30 MA is too close and probably could get hit quickly. So 15MA 1H chart it is.

1. first trade could enter and go back to 15MA and close for a loss
2. It could go up and hit the TP just below the next line. If it triggers the 2nd line and keeps going my 15MA would then be the SL TP for that trade.
3. It could go up for a while and then retreat back to the 15 MA SL/TP position for a profit or a loss.
4. Price never crosses the DP line and I am never in the trade.
5. Unless I want to interfere with the trade I am done and will now let the market do its thing.

I am only using Alan's STO 7 so I only get signals for trades on the correct side of the 240 line.

Here is my SL trade. When this trade is done I will turn on my 10.6 trade page back on the eur/usd and look for my next trade.

Well so much for that trade. USD goes up big against eur and chf but moves little against jpy and cad. Guess which two I have trades on and which two I do not. YUP the two that are moving like crazy I am not in. Dont you just love trading Forex. LOL

hi bob, just going through all your tutorial, marvellous stuff,re your trade above, the css is showing eur angling down and usd angling up, so why have you put on a long position, its 8am now in uk, and the eurusd shot down

I have a pending at the DP on the AUDCHF which I put on much earlier today in the anticipation that if it reversed STO would be around the right level given the amount of reversal (see below).

My thoughts were if it continued to retrace right back up past the 0.83000 then I'd look to move the pending up to the 83 line and look for a higher entry. As you can see at the moment it's lingering around that 83, if it does reverse now and hits the 80 STO well before the DP, would you just jump in or wait for the cross of the DP? Potentially missing out on a fair few pips on the way down
