Hello Everyone,
Just want to say that this Forum is way above my Pay Grade, I have been reading this whole tread, and my mind is spinning, I thought that I had a good handle on trading, buy Jem you and your buddies make me look pedestrian in my trading.
What I have learned so far is that Jem trades price and Trend, and I have been trying to do this for a long time now, and I think that I have found in this forum a teaching force that if I can learn and understand, i'll become an Above Average trader, this is making me very happy.
It is a bit cheesy I know, but to me this is very daunting.

I have read this thread, and im starting to really understand this trading system, and Jem you are brilliant, it is all starting to make sense.
Guys, the second picture is of the amount of Data that I have on my charts.
The first picture is after I reapply my Template, reapplying a template is the quickest way of refreshing a chart, the way that I do it is reapply then go up to 4hr chart let it completely load, and then go back to 1hr chart and let it completely load.

Hi all. I'm new to this.

It's great to see this kind of colloboration. Exactly what is needed in this world.

Read the manual but have't got through the thread since it's so big. I want to jump straight into 10.6 if I can really and also use the dummy lights.

Everything is installed on my system. Now to use it. From what I can tell can it be as simple as:

1) Look at the CSS info page to find a trending pair with the lines at opposites. Yesterday is was CAD and EUR.

2) Open up CAD/EUR (or EUR/CAD), set the 10.6 4H 60MA template. Load in the (currently untested with 10.6) 10.6B1H dummy lights.mq4. See if you get a green, orange or yellow light. If green then double check that yes the trade is outside the trend average and also the daily pivot and also the bottom indictor window stochastic is either at top or bottom maximums (80 or 20)

3) Think about placing a trade. Use the 10.6 SL TP screen to place your stop loss and take profit close to the average. Sacrifice a bit extra buffer to avoid stop loss hunting.

Questions:

- have I got the right idea with the system? One thing at a time, I want to start with trending rather than ranging pairs.
- anything to bear in mind with FXCM? I prefer to chart with a demo account and place live trades separately for safety. This is a result of taking that Tharp TraderTest.
- is there a way to avoid turning off symbols such as XAUUSD and NGAS? These mess up the CSS info page calculations don't they (but not the other templates)? I like to see these graphs for other purposes. Perhaps I should make another install of Metatrader4 alongside so that I have an install dedicated to NanningBob's system?
- Maybe I'm blind... can't see a EDSEL download or explanation on p. 686 regards that simplification?
- I can't load all those currency pairs in one profile in one go. They all say "awaiting update" if I do that. Opening just one seems to work fine to get the CSS info page working.

Observations and notes:
- you could figure out the trending or confirm trends by looking at currency futures such as USDOLLAR and just looking for channels. I've also used the Track'n'Trade demo for some delayed free signals but I'm sure there are free signals out there too
- perhaps risk of very major long timescale breakouts could be foreseen slightly with the Commitment of Traders report or historic averages? For example JPY is shown as low right now.
- I wonder if parts of the system could be applied to futures trading
- I also like Naked trading and candle spotting so I'll be looking for ways to integrate that into the system once I've got the hang of the basics of this first
- I'm with FXCM at the moment. I'll only change it when I've got the learning wheels off and it's worth the bother as it's tax free status at the moment. Updated the leverage from 200:1 to 50:1. Might go lower to 10:1 while learning.

By the way, the compassion website is very good. One of the best charities I've seen. The separate donate page will accept one off donations. They have a nice scheme where you can donate and they will slowly pay you back on the chance that if you do die you know your funds are going to the cause you choose rather than inheritance tax which might not be of your choosing. Great motivation for sound trading.
