I had the same issue; everything lined up for a trade across a number of AUD pairs, but no trade taken. My journal shows alot of activity at the time of the big price move, with a very long list of "old tick" errors returned. Am I right in assuming that those errors indicate that the trades failed because of slippage/requotes in a fast moving market?

I believe Old Tick means the server is a bit overwhelmed and by the time your terminal received the tick, it was deemed too old to be useful. (They must have a time stamp built into them that the terminal evaluates) The terminal is supposed to filter these out and the EA shouldn't see them. Because of this it is possible there were no valid received ticks during that time period so the EA did nothing at all!

Hmmm, I don't have any "old tick" messages in my journal. No messages at all about the other AUD pairs having tried or failed to open.

Same here, missed lots of valid trades.

Thank you for the nice EA. I went fishing around the Sidus FF thread and discovered Sidus had adapted his system to longer time frames, especially H4, which he preferred. Bagovino adapted the Sidus indicator to coincide with his system. They seem to be about the same: 5/12, rather than 15/34.
RSI 240 TF/period 21. I have tossed it on the fire to see if it has merit. Glenn

A few hours ago there was a big move by AUD pairs resulting from the RBA decision to not move interest rates.

Fmfx EA opened a buy trade on the GBPAUD pair:

but it didn't open trades for the AUDUSD or the EURAUD pairs. I've looked and can't see any obvious pair trades limits in the script - any ideas why it missed these?

The same thing happened with EURUSD as well. Got a Sidus UP arrow but no trade entered.

Yes. There is little an EA can do during the kind of spike that occurred last night. It is overwhelmed in exactly the same way you would have been had you been trying to send a trade manually.

Fair enough. I should have noted though that the missed EURUSD trade was almost two hours later (I don't know what caused the market to spike in that instance). I just added it to this post because I thought it was related.

I don't know what caused the trade to be missed either. Any one of the 8000 rubbishy thingys deliberately built in to Empty4 that are designed specifically to derail the trader's best intentions, probably.

I just noticed that the botis taking only buy orders, same thing with all the test that i did back then.
