Two items:

1. No trades yet today, not that I expected any.

2. Not to be a nit picker, but I caught this in re-reading the latest info and updates to the code.

Sell re-entry trade
1. Candle (shift 1) must have closed HIGHER than current market price
2. Candle (shift 2) must have closed HIGHER than candle (shift 1)
3. Stochastic 5, 3, 3 indicator must be above 80 at Close(2)
4. Stacking moving averages must be pointed up.
5. BE 30 +2, SL 100, JS 50

I presume that the stacking MA's should be pointed down for a sell re-entry trade.

Also, I seem to recall you considering the question of whether or not requiring MA's to be stacked might be too restrictive for re-entry trades. Any further thoughts on this question? I have reviewed the last week of charts to look at this question. This time period does not really give a very clear picture.

hogging the bandwidth here....

Studying my BASA charts this morning and I have a few questions that I have not been able to answer myself. On the attached screen shots I have the 240 LWMA in turquoise, the 60 LWMA in gold, and the 21 /55 EMA's in light blue. Although the 60 has recently crossed the 240 in a downward direction the EA comments indicate that the cross status is "No Cross". Also the comments indicate that the 21/55 EMAs are "Not Stacking Up" even though they appear to be in the correct order and still pulling away from each other.

Hoping someone can help with my confusion......

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

BASA open trades tonight...looking good :D
This is from my original BASA demo #1

Demo 2b

See this post for demo parameters:
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 977#p73977

No trades on any of the demo's with MA stacking on...although I think there is definite benefits with using MA stacking, I think in it's current form it has made trading too restrictive. In my initial analysis of the benefits of MA stacking I only checked that the MA's were stacked in the correct order, rather than diverging away from each other, so moving forward we may need to revisit how we utilise this function best.

Also, in addition to the demo's listed in the post linked above, I am testing other potential 'enhancements' whilst maintaining the simplicity of the strategy. Unfortunately forward demo testing takes time, however I will post some updates once I feel comfortable the results are worth pursuing.
