Hi liberty.
The table you saw from dj is based on a excel document that can be found on the end of the first post of this thread: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... STANT+BIAS
To use the CSS Assistant (the excel doc) you take your manual reading of the CSS indicator (shown down on the attached pic) and feed them into the excel doc.
Hope that helps, have a nice day.

Re: 10.5 for monkeys
I had some ideas that may be of some use for a monkey info page. Disclaimer against stupidity: I'm no coder at all, and some of the things I suggest may be technically impossible for all I know, I just intend to voice what I think would save us time trading this:
1- CSS assistant integrated on Info page, with auto reading of the slopes (maybe the CSS lines could be invisible). This means the code would have to be able to measure the slope and judge if it's up, down or flat (maybe between 10º and -10º would be flat or something like that).
2- Position in relation to the MA for each pair. This is so we don't waste time opening charts on which the bias is long but the price in bellow the MA (and vice versa).
3- Distance from MA. Again so we save time.
For the other conservative don't take the trade factors, eyes and evaluation.
Design wise I think something along the lines of what is shown on the glorious paint made pic attached.

Re: 10.5 for monkeys
Had anybody a good visual backtest with this idea? I just tried it on EurUsd for the time of 1st August until now; settings were conservative monkey.
Came up with following results:
Summed up negative => -259 pips
Summed up positive trades => +270 pips
Net pips gain => +11 pips
Trades taken => 24 trades ; Win ratio 9/24 = 33%
Not very impressive so far. Maybe CSS assistant could have avoided many wrong trades. Did you guys your visual backtest on the real candle closes or the ones provided with added Heiken Ashi indi?
Take a look at my attachement.
Regards

Re: 10.5 for monkeys
Hi, all
In a "news driven" market no system works efficiently. No matter if you win or lose: the results are misleading. So, closing the week at break even in the middle of FED´s storm is for me a good result.
Although I am confident that this system can work well, maybe I was a little reckless publishing it before some practice. The MM needs to be rethought. The 15 SL rule only works well when the crossing happened in momentum. In minor crosses we should leave more room for the trade to breathe. Also, I need to study some Heiken Ashi nuances and the possibility to zoom to 30M TF to spot clearer the closing distance to the pivot.
This system requires a lot of patience and discipline for manual application. Easy to understand, hard to play it.
Fx8000 is developing an EA that (hopefully in a short time) will let us know if the system is worth it or should be discarded. Until the automatic application confirms the efficiency of the system, I think you should better forget it.
If I see a good behavior from the EA in the coming weeks, I will return to this thread actively looking for improvements for manual application.
Until then, I recommend Bob's 10.6.
Greetings.

Re: 10.5 for monkeys
Well zen have been trading it all week, and i am well ahead, i was just trading small lots and closing half when I was about 20 pips up and letting the rest go to the blue line, I thing the CSS assistant is very handy as well, but appreciate your concerns
