I came to the same conclusion and also noticed that Empty4 redraw function is complete mess, making whatever it wants of the candle colors when rectangles are under...

you'll find attached the new indi with MA filtering, I named the indicator NB_DummyLights for obvious reasons

The fullscreen painting is now an option (disabled in attached file).
The gradient painting is now also an option (disabled too).

People can still use it to make a fancy background by disabling the MA filter, activating fullscreen and gradient parameters.

I think i didn´t explain myself enough, sorry... in the same platform i wanted to run a EA system together with manual NB and MPTM on each pair with "manage this pair only" set to true, but as soon as i attach just 1 MPTM instance the error of the attachment appears, and obviously magic numbers are different (think this is not even checked when MPTM only manages the pair is attached to), sometimes platform crashes, guess there´s not much to do about that incompatibility with a 3rd party EA, that´s why i was looking for something different than MPTM to test such as Individual Trade Manager...

OK you cant run 2 EAs on one screen. You can have 2 EAs if you use two charts for each pair. So if you have two eur/usd tabs you can have one EA on one chart and one on the other. OR you can run two Empty4 using one for one EA and the other Empty4 for the other EA. However, you dont need to do that. The MPTM can be placed on one chart and it will manage all the trades on every chart. Unless you dont want the MPTM to regulate all the trades. You can have the MPTM regulate only the trades done by EAs by giving it a magic number and the EAs the same magic number. Then it will regulate only those trades that have that number attached to them. Those are your options.

Don't encourage him Bob. You will only do a Steve and snap eventually. He has to learn the limitations of Empty4 at some stage.

Steve, I put the MPTM and EAs in the folders. He is trying to make them work. I dont see why he cant ask questions about them. It is not like Phil who talked about running around naked in his apartment and how great the Chinese were and some Taoist philosophy that only a very small group of Chinese practice today. He was teaching a very high risk/high reward way of trading. Not something I would try. Well I did once and that was that. We understand that. But to ask how EAs and MPTMs work within Empty4 should be legitimate questions to ask. Even I had to ask those same questions at one time. Why can or can not I do this or that with an EA or MPTM? Or why would I set this or that up to do this or that? That is all part of trading. Dont you think??????????

Well if it becomes part of the system I will name them 10.6 Studebaker Lights. I have also asked Baluda to adjust his DWMP to have those colored boxes in the corner like we did with 10.2 and 10.3. I know his is not a memory hog if he can adjust it. Anyway I will play with it. Thanks.

Actually it is funny how something that was just fun to play gave an idea that may become meaningful. Newbie proof. Buy when it turns green close when it turn another color. That would do it I think. Like taking a sledgehammer and hitting you to do something.

I could look like a total idiot but i´m very aware that i can´t run 2 EAs on the same chart

That´t exactly what i´m doing, in fact 3rd party EA should run on it´s own independiently from NB/MPTM trades, i don´t really want the EA to be managed by MPTM with same magic number but just manually opened NB trades, that´s why i can´t set MPTM to manage ALL trades, basically i want MPTM to manage all charts except one, hope i made sense... wish it existed an "exclude from MPTM" setting by magic number, but perhaps not even that will avoid platform from going south.
Guess Steve is right about Empty4, it wasn´t really meant to do so many fancy things at the same time... as soon as i open MPTM (with manage this pair only set to true) together with this EA on separate charts totally independient one from the other, platform go nuts with this fake "duplicate instance id" error (and obviously magic numbers have nothing to do with it) or directly crashes...

The easiest way to handle what you are doing, is to have more than 1 Empty4 running. I have done this all the time with my testing. I will manual trade off of one Empty4 and have EAs running on another. Works unless you send more than one trade signal at a time from the different MT4s. Then you get a freeze up or busy context message.

OK I will call this 10.6 EDSEL. We have dummy lights just like the old Edsels did. I think they did anyway but I liked the name. My other name was Nanningbob the Dummy but ehhhhhhhh.

2 MA lines: the 240 which is the monthly trend line and the 60 which is the weekly trend line. When price is above both you have an UT and you buy only. The bar on the right side of the screen will be green. You can trade any TF to find a good entrance but for the 4H I have the STO7 to tell me to trade. Maybe we will update it to show which kind of trade it is signaling but for now you get a signal and a color. AUD/USD is showing green right now so we look for good buy areas to enter. The 60 MA line becomes the SL line or a xxx.00 line of your choice.

Sells will have a red bar, price is below both the 240 and 60 lines. This is a DT and we will look to sell only. This is the USD/CHF.

When an UT is finished for now it will come back inside the 60 MA line. You can now trade both ways buy or sell based on the STO7 signal. The 60 or 240 lines can become your SL line or you can use a xxx.00 line. Color is now an Olive color showing that an UT is now ranging or reversing. Once you see the 60 MA broken by price action, price will usually stall at this point so you can begin to look both ways to trade. However, ignore spikes for this rule.
