I am in dire need for a graphical indi to be made. It would simply show the ADR of all pairs within the individual basic groups. This will be used by basket traders to determine if a basket offers the expected range. What I've found online doesn't cut it so I'm looking for someone to simplify the idea. I have more info about it. PM me if you're interested.

Andy,
What I'm looking for is a graphical display I can affix to a blank chart window. In it, will be the 8 major groups. Most have 6-8 pairs each. Here's what a buddy suggested: The pip count I look at is the ADR for the group. I add up the ADR for every pair in the group, for example the JPY group ADR is about 1100 , ADR for 10 days of each pair added together.
So If I see the JPY pairs all green and my total pips is 300 or something, I should have room to make profit. But if the total pips is 900 or something I would pass on that group as the move is almost over.
We really need a indicator that will show the ADR differences for all the major groups (8)."
In a nutshell, that's what we need. It would afford "decision at a glance." Opposing pairs included, as we have hedging capability.
I was thinking 8 boxes, labeled as the 8 Groups, i.e., GBP, AUD, CHF, EUR, NZD, JPY, CAD, USD. The two needed figures would be the summed total of 10 days ADR pips per pair in the group and current pip count for the same period, as per above. That's all.

So are you saying, if all symbols containing GBP pips are ADR 800 and today's range is 250, you would enter all the GBP trades at the same time, hoping to yield 500 pips ish?ezrydn wrote:Andy,

Andy,
Close but not quite. Imagine a box labeled GBP. There are 6 pairs in that group. The first readout would be the SUM, in positive pips, of all 6 over the last 10 days divided by 10. Second readout would be the SUM of the six today. There would be 2 rows of 4 boxes each covering the 8 majors.
That make more sense?
