HalfCloseEnabled has morphed into PartCloseEnabled. From the UG:

• PartCloseEnabled: will close PartClosePercent of the trade when the market reaches your breakeven point. It is up to you to ensure that your lot size allows this.
• PartClosePercent: the percentage or the order to close. For example:
  • Lot = 0.02; PartClosePercent = 50; BASA will close 0.01 lots at BE.
  • Lot = 1; PartClosePercent = 75; BASA will close 0.75 lots at BE.

Once a trade has reached BE and part-closed, BASA uses the trade's remaining open lot size for the stack trades - 0.1 and 0.25 respectively in the examples.

I have simplified the basket trailing stop calculation. It works like a standard trailing stop and trails the market at StackTrailingStopPips behind.

All this wants testing, so perhaps don't rush to dump it on your live accounts just yet.

I've been testing your multi pair version with interesting results. Have you started a new thread for it ?
I started the test on Oct 9, although it is barely breaking even at the moment, given the tough range market lately, I consider this result very good. If the trend returns, it might be very profitable.

BTW, one thing I found might worth your attention. I noted in the codes that EURCHF was included in the Ignore Pairs but the EA still opened trades for it.

2D is generating a zero divide error; this stops an ea from working. I will sort this out later.

Info- Have started with a basket take profit demo mid last week. 1 set of trades closed with a 2% increase. 2 basket open. let see how this progress.

V 2e is in post 1 with the fix for the zero divide error. It was one of my dumber copy/paste bloops.

Those of you who can, preserve you hard-coded settings by

• downloading the update into your editor.
• save it using different name - anything will do.
• copy void DisplayUserFeedback() (Scite line 455)
• load BASA into the editor and copy, highlight all of void DisplayUserFeedback() and paste over the top, then F5 to recompile.

Actual coders, remove:
double CloseLots = NormalizeLots(OrderSymbol(),Lot * (PartClosePercent / 100));
because it is redundant. Then change the remaining
CloseLots = NormalizeLots(OrderSymbol(),Lot * (PartClosePercent / 100));
to
double CloseLots = NormalizeLots(Symbol(),Lot * (PartClosePercent / 100));

I was out of country for a few days and just saw this...

But real honest-to-God trending markets are actually fairly rare.

Especially in Forex markets, it seems - unless you have deep pockets, infinite patience and can run with the monthly charts.

Yes -- Bob showed us that the monthly charts trend pretty well. Though I suspect even that isn't good enough for a basic trend-following approach on the M1 tf. The trends don't last long enough. Bob's approach of trading smaller tf's in the direction of that larger high-tf trend is a genius solution.

"Let profits run" doesn't work in a market that doesn't trend well. "Grab small profits, rinse and repeat" often works better in these markets -- as Bob often demonstrates in his thread.

I am coming to the conclusion that it is better to do this anyway. So we miss a few big moves - so what? Think of all the lovely small profits we have accrued along the way.

With the right systems, yes that's a great answer. With old-skool commodity trendfollowing (such as taught to the original Turtles), their win % was too low for that. The system lost money most of the time, and they needed the occasional huge win to come out ahead overall.

Trade-with-the-trend aka Bob might have worked well in that old commodity environment. These days though, the commodities don't trend as well as they used to, so even Bob's approach might not work. I wonder if anyone has tried applying 10.x logic to commodity markets??

No, I trade most pairs but not all...
No exotics or metals and I keep away from the range prone pairs such as eurchf (Cowboy Go Markets doesn't have a feed for this pair anymore anyway) & eurgbp, also I don't trade chfjpy.

Sorry I won't be sharing my live account details...and even if I wanted to myfxbook doesn't work on it anyhow...it never connects.

If I get time I will post an excerpt of trades from the last month if you're interested.
