I don't set the pendings based on the timing of a cross of the 20 or 80 line but rather where price is in relation to the DP,60 MA, 240 MA and XXX.00 lines. Most of the move occurs above 80 on buys and below 20 on the sells. The STOCH alert tells me to look for a pending trade. Not to make an immediate entry.

One of the advantages of trading the 10.XXX series is trading the H4 time frame you can set pending trades whenever it is convenient for you to view the charts. Bob has stated that he spends 15 minutes or less reviewing his charts 4-5 times per day and sets his pending trades based on what the charts are showing him. Ideally you wouldn't need to sit in front of the charts no matter what time zone you are in.

Hi tibochina, I've heard mention of setting pending trades but how can you set pendings when you don't know when the stoch wil cross the 20 or 80 and evoke a 10.6 trade?

I run an EA called TCO Trader to enter trades on DEMO - this gives me heads up that MY trading conditions are met; currently they are : Price above 20 & 63 EMA on Daily, plus confirmed crossing of NB Stochastic at 5 and 95 on 1 Hour.

That was my hope. But if the best setups happen during late Asia session and trigger orders in early Euro session (midnight-5am my time), that's still hard to hit...

When (if?) my schedule settles down a bit, and Bob gets Edsel finalized, I'll give it a go and see how it works for me.

The best setups may not happen then but it is during the quiet times between markets that the indicators will settle giving you your signal. For example the STO will top or bottom out and the 60 MA on the 1H will catch up to price as it holds or retraces. You then see the signal and set up pending trades or wait for the STO 7 to move and give a signal. So I like setting my trades during those times. Often they wont enter until hours later, or even a session later. I seldom see an entrance take place but I check up later in a session and see what has happened to the positions I posted. Hopefully they are doing well.

Here it is, straight from the Empty4 folder, but you will probably play with it a lot as you start to get into all the various option available.

Certainly you are entitled to your opinion, but I am unsure of which other system you are referring to in that vague comment.

If it was indeed about the recent posts discussing using the TCO Trader EA, you may well be mistaken.

This EA has the ability to input the settings almost as NB describes them, so using the EA is not another system.

So perhaps it is your understanding that needs some updating if you intend to continue with sniping comments like that.
